The location and picturesque character of the building are fantastic. We arrived on a "closed" day for the hotel and restaurant so we did not meet direct staff but were lucky enough to encounter a kind maintenance man doing paint work. He kindly offered to help us find the keys and called the owner to chat in Germán on our behalf and confirm our reservation. Kind man! We found public parking near the plaza fairly easily and could walk to the hotel on sidewalks safely. We were saddened not to be able to try the restaurant too, but found a good alternative only steps away on the same plaza. The windows are great quality and the view of the street from the first floor end-of-hallway is bucolic. Loved walking the streets around. We made a pitstop here on our drive back for a flight in Amsterdam and were pleasantly surprised.

I truly loved the hotel and would recommend it in a heartbeat. My only constructive comment would be about the loud heavy doors banging when left to close. I am very aware and conscious of others and always make a point of GENTLY closing doors wherever I go, but sadly many other tourists do not show the same courtesy. These doors are really loud when people aren't careful to shut them politely (maybe a gentle sign in German and English on doors to encourage consideration of others?)

We stayed in the deluxe upstairs apartment, it was very roomy and lovely, be aware there is no lift so there were a few shuttle runs with prams etc, but plenty of space, perfect location in Limburg, right in the centre, took food and drinks up to our room from the restaurant, was lovely

The location was the absolute best. The apartment itself was very spacious and renovated beautifully. There is no airconditioning but there were two big fans available which we gladly used and we left the windows open. Which was actually pretty doable even though you’re on a busy square filled with bars and restaurants. We also had dinner in the restaurant which was great and the wines were fabulous (and so was the staff).

We missed something to wash up with. The apartment has a dishwasher but we didn’t use a lot and running the dishwasher would have been a waste. It also didn’t have any kitchen towels. It has a coffee machine but no pads so we didn’t have the opportunity to have coffee in the morning which was a shame. Had we known, we would have come prepared but we arrived at 8pm and were not in the position to get coffee pads anymore.

The location was fantastic! Right in the center of Limburg an der Lahn. The owners were friendly as well.

As it's right in the middle of the city centre, there wasn't parking at the establishment.

Breakfast was not available but at a bakery down the street the breakfast was superb. The location was super, right in the middle of the old town at a small square, like stepping back into the Middle Ages.

Central location, coffee machine, shower

Check-in times are very restrictive. I missed the 12.00 to 14.00 window (thanks, Deutsche Bahn) and had to drag my luggage around with me till 18.00 before I could check in.

Great location. Easy access even when host was not there.

Restaurant was closed, so no dinner. But other restaurants were in the surrounding.

Really nice room, good shower, good location.

Pillows were a bit thin and it was a bit pricey given that Limburg isn't that much of a tourist destination.
