We stayed at Palace Hotel & Spa for nine days and absolutely loved it. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable, and the housekeeping staff were always friendly and attentive. Breakfast was a real highlight – not only was it extensive and delicious, but the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Our 4-year-old daughter looked forward to it every single morning! The beach area was just as enjoyable. The umbrellas are included, well spaced out, and never overcrowded. The beach staff were very social and helpful, which made relaxing by the sea even more pleasant. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening, and the experience was just as positive – tasty food with excellent service. Overall, this hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. A perfect mix of comfort, hospitality, and relaxation. We would gladly return and highly recommend it to both couples and families!

The hotel itself was lovely, big rooms, giant comfy bed and a good shower. The indoor pool was well needed as it wasn't quite hot enough to be jumping into the outdoor one yet. I had a massage whilst I was there which was also good and loads of breakfast choices.

Because I was on the ground floor I could hear a lot of road noise. Not the hotels fault but be aware the beach and surrounding area is currently like a building site. They are building a new footpath, extending the beach front and building a new hotel I think so the beach itself is full of workmen and diggers which is why I marked the location so low.

The room was lovely. The bed was the highlight. It was a very big bed with an amazing mattress. The breakfast buffet was also very good. There was an incredible variety of salty and sweet options and also fresh fruit. The hotel staff was really nice, especially the staff of the beach bar.

For being a 5 stars hotel, there were a few sloppy aspects. I used the communal facilities on a few occasions while at the beach. There was toilet roll and hand tissue missing, one of the sinks was not working and the toilet was dirty. The hotel is in general really lovely but it is in a area that is not as nice as the hotel. Also in our room, there was 1 capsule for the coffee machine, and we never got a second one. We only got 2 rather small bath towels - which again considering is a seaside hotel and it’s 5 stars is a bit strange - and suddenly on our last day we also got some bathrobes…

Large comfortable rooms, bathroom, bed and pillows. Breakfast buffet was exceptional and a the best we had across Albania during our 3 week trip visiting various cities. Room had a lovely homely feel about it which we really liked.

Blackout curtains in the room would have been good, the rooms were very bright very early in the mornings. There is also no exhaust in the bathroom so you had to open the large window to let fresh air in and people can see you from other hotels. Air conditioner seemed to be on a timer and cut out during each of the 3 nights we stayed. Pool area would be better with more sun lounges as the few around it were taken up very early each morning and left are only dining table and chair settings. The only comment re breakfast is that the coffee made by staff was very bitter and not enjoyable. Perhaps the brand of bean or machine.

Everything was fantastic. The staff Erina, Eris and others (I can't remember their names) were all amazing, all smiles even by midnight. They attended to us excitedly and respectfully, answered all our questions, gave us directions, and got a taxi to the airport and many more. The breakfast was yummy with a lot of varieties to pick from. The ambience of the hotel is welcoming, the location is fabulous, just by the beach. My friends were all happy. We love the indoor pool, it was warm, the spa , jacuzzi, clean and spacious rooms, comfortable beds.We will definitely recommend it. It's a 10/10

Absolutely nothing

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety. the room was comfortable and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Location was good. The spa was good - it has a couple of saunas, indoor pool and jacuzzi as the main features, and the gym was well equipped. They let us into our room early, and the last day we could use all the facilities after check out which was nice.

Out of season, some of the facilities are not in use, like in the spa but this wasn't a huge factor. The beach could improve as the facilities (showers, changing room) were broken and there was building work going on at the pool area for 3 days whilst we were there (there was building work going on everywhere in Durres as well!) which we weren't aware of.

The location was really centric and easy to access from the city center. 3 kms only from the main bus terminal. The indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi were good. The spa center comes with a lot of facilities. The room was good in size, with a sofa and a double bed. You get a boiler, hair dryer, table, chairs,Tv, etc. You wont find any things missing there. The breakfast was good with a lot of options to choose from. You can get to Durres by public transport also from here, there is a nearby bus stop. Lot of popular restaurants nearby where you can enjoy delicious seafood for dinner.

The bathroom has no lock available. Not every room has a balcony. The private beach is kind of a misleading one. It is indeed decorated as private one, but it was available to everyone. Also the beach doesn't have any sand there. Instead m, they constructed a platform on top of the beach and provided stairs to get into the sea. And the floor of the sea was filled with pebbles, which could be painful if you misfoot on one of them. This was a major drawback to me.

Our stay here was really nice! The bed was huge and we had great airconditioning (which was super necessary). Alongside this, the pool was so nice and it was great having the sea so close that you can decide daily what you want to do! Service on the beach was good too when you give tips and the beds / parasols were so great! We really loved our stay here, especially the restaurant and food in the evenings and the staff for dinner, they were so kind. They served the best pasta and other delicious foods for a good price.

We did have some ants in our room, but the cleaner usually got rid of these when they came. We also requested a taxi months in advance and were picked up from the airport luckily, but even after letting them know what time our flight was going back, there was no taxi ready when we got up very early to go back to the airport. Eventually they did get a local taxi to drive us up, but he couldn't speak English so that was a bit uncomfortable. Besides this our stay was very nice tho!

Awful smell in bathroom of junior suite Nespresso machine has no capsules with it, you have to buy them from the mini bar, which is ridiculous. No milk provided No tea (except fruit teas) provided No spoons to stir drinks Nespresso machine didn’t work fixed It myself. Staff listen and promise service to put things right but it doesn’t happen. Not one problem was solved by hotel staff. TVs didn’t work properly and no channels for English speakers One TV would not work with Netflix, needed updating. When ordering a taxi from reception they use their own and the cost will be 1000 more Lek, street taxis are cheaper.

The hotel is not only very beautiful on the outside, but even more beautiful on the inside. The cleanliness, food and staff are some of the most unique experiences you can experience. There were sun loungers included in the price on the beach, the sea was very clean and the environment on the beach was very quiet. The staff inside the hotel but also at the beach bar were very polite and omnipresent.

Our room did not have a general cleaning on the second day of our stay, only towels were changed.
