The hotel is situated in a cité and my room opened to the street so it was quite noisy. One time, there was a disturbing knock on my door. I opened it only to find a woman who requested to desperately use my toilet. I couldn't say NO. But it was a quite a nuissance. I wondered if i was in a hotel at all. The bed was hard, the tv and the wifi doesn't work sometimes. The pressure of the shower was sometimes so low I couldn't shower. Breakfast is quite basic - eggs, bread, juice, fruit, tea/coffee.

I was welcomed with open arms by the proprietors and staff of this establishment, who went out of their way to accommodate me. This quiet and safe residential neighbourhood exudes the rich history, culture, and tradition of Abidjan and Ivory Coast. Shops, bars, restaurants, street food stands, and small craft vendors invite exploration, each showcasing its unique charm. However, coming from Europe, I found the heat, noise, filth, rubbish, and crowds on the city’s bustling main roads to be overwhelming. The breakfast was very good and tasty. I was served an omelette, sliced pineapple, a tub of cheese, a tub of jam, half a loaf of French bread, a glass of orange juice, a small jug of milk, a kettle of hot water with a tea bag, a Nescafé packet, and some sugar packets.

I don’t really like saloon-type doors in bathrooms, and the sink reminded me of an oversized urinal, but taste is subjective. *Beware of traffic!* It is chaotic, dangerous, and potentially lethal, with many reckless drivers – especially motorcyclists – speeding and overtaking each other. Crossing the road poses a significant risk to your safety. Traffic jams are common and quite nerve-racking. Even though the airport is less than 6 km away, it took me 30 minutes to cover just 1700 meters by taxi during rush hour. Be sure to leave the hotel well in advance of your flight.

Quiet, cool, and dark room right behind reception (amazing, right?!) offered a very restful sleep for me and my baby. I loved the colors of the room, better than the pics :) Shower pressure was good and bathroom very clean. Nice breakfast on a peaceful terrace. Helpful and friendly owners and staff. Only 20 minutes from airport against traffic.

Fantastic hotel in Abidjan. Great value for money for what you get - hospitable hosts and staff, good rooms/bathrooms, great location near Zone 4, nice breakfast every morning. I was here for 1 days for AFCON football tournament and it was a home from home, and great base for exploring. Zone 4 is walkable, otherwise get a Yango taxi. Airport very nearby too. And good atmosphere!

The Wi-Fi wasn’t amazing (I think this is quite room dependent) but actually when I was leaving they seemed to install a new one which was much better and worked everywhere. Mattress could have been a bit softer and longer.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Blawa during my visit to Abidjan, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! From the moment I arrived, the hospitality shown by both the owner and the staff was exceptional. They were incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, even allowing me to stay a bit longer for free when my flight was rescheduled to late at night. The location of Hotel Blawa is simply perfect. Situated right in the heart of the city, it is conveniently close to all essential amenities, including shopping centers, malls, restaurants, and bars. Despite its central location, the hotel offers a peaceful and secure environment, providing a safe haven amidst the bustling city life. One of the highlights of my stay was definitely the breakfast. It was delicious,This meal set the perfect tone for the day ahead, fueling my explorations around the city. For anyone looking for a comfortable, friendly, and conveniently located hotel in Abidjan, Hotel Blawa should undoubtedly be at the top of your list. Whether you’re in town for business or pleasure, this hotel promises a memorable stay in a secure and welcoming setting.

Fantastic value stay in Abidjan. The room was very comfortable, good WiFi, and the hotel is located back off the main street in a seperate gated side street, so it is very secure and quite, but close to a bit of a livelier atmosphere once you go to the main street. Safe parking for my motorcycle on the side street in front of the hotel, and they can also arrange secure parking elsewhere for an additional fee. 10/10 - Highly recommend.

Nice breakfast that included an omelette and fruit. The location was handy to the airport and also good for shared taxis to Grand Bassam. Bakeries, clean restaurants and street food available close by. The hotel is in a quiet and safe residential street, though accessible to a main road. The staff were very friendly and helpful with travel advice and went way beyond the usual to help. A good location for meeting other travellers.

No criticisms at this price point for Abidjan.

Personal welcome and pick-up from the airport by the friendly owner (for a small fee, but well worth it to avoid the hassle with taxis). Great location - 10-15 min by car from the airport. Secure location in a guarded residential compound, there's a small shop around the corner which always has bottled water. great little outdoor restaurant 2min away to have local grilled fish or chicken for next to nothing price. The room is small-ish but functional, good shower with hot water and strong pressure. Hard bed - had a great sleep, good breakfast in the morning.

My room on the ground floor didn't have a window to speak of (only in the shower), wasn't a problem for me but if you are claustrophobic - better specify at booking.

Internet is strong and stable, location is very safe and off the main noisy street, AC cold and shower hot, breakfast is basic but sufficient. The best is the very helpful owners, they will try their best to assist in many ways, such as getting taxi to go to city center.

The neighborhood looks great. They are a lot of businesses et restaurant nearby. The owner is a nice and kind gentleman. The receptionist as well. I love the breakfast I ate in the morning. Very clean, nice and quiet area.
