From the very first moment to the very last one the hotel staff was absolutely superb: welcoming, friendly, professional, informative. The hotel is located in a carefully and artistically restored historical building with lots of art objects tastefully placed both in common spaces and in the rooms: graphics, sculptures, paintings, textiles, ceramic tiles. The room was small but comfortable, quiet, with beautifully restored old windows, nice linens. Great sauna in the attic. Small seating area in the backyard. Superb breakfast: homemade butter, pickles, jams, exquisite fish. Fantastic! I would love to return!!! And highly recommend to anyone travelling to Porvoo!

We found exactly what we were looking for in terms of peace, relaxation, and comfort. The shared sauna area was incredibly comfortable, and although it was a coincidence, there was no one else there when we used it, so it felt like we had a private session all to ourselves. It was an experience beyond perfection. The breakfast service was incredibly enjoyable. The variety and taste of the products were amazing. We stayed in one of the rooms with a stove. Just spending time watching the art deco beauty of that wall stove was wonderful. Thanks a lot!

Almost everything! The bartenders were also really great.

Gluten free breakfast could have been much more significant. There were essentially no sweet things for people with a gluten free diet (other than fruit). It also feels ridiculous to pay this much money for a hotel and be told that I need to come to breakfast at a particular time. Part of a nice experience is not having to plan my morning and on that fact alone I won’t return. If you hate having to pick a slot for breakfast, this place isn’t for you. The breakfast itself was quite nice, though.

Staff were excellent. A particular mention of 2 staff in particular. MaiJa and Minna. These two ladies were exceptional. We are from Australia and have traveled extensively and it is very rare to receive such friendly happy and professional employees such as these two. From our understanding, Minna was a new employee. If that is the case, she is certainly an excellent acquisition. She greeted us with absolute friendliness and even took us to our room. Maija had an infectious smile and laughter and seemed to have the place running so smoothly. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful and the young lady who served us was very sweet and super nice. Overall this place is wonderful and the staff certainly played a big part in making our anniversary stay a memorable one.

Very stylish hotel in a great location. Great buffet breakfast, with interesting options. Very pleasant host. The bedroom was spotlessly clean, and well appointed (except for complete lack of storage.) Clothes steamer and water fizzer were nice touches.

- The stylish but unsmiling young ladies on the reception could have been more welcoming. I had a barrage of emails asking me to check in online, which I did. The emails continued. When I arrived I was asked to fill out the form that I'd already filled out online. - There was no storage area at all in the room, except for a few hooks. We were travelling with suitcases (part of a longer trip) and the narrow strip of floor between the bed and the wall was the only place to put them - rather inconvenient. - There is a boom box blasting generic jazz into the rear courtyard. If you are on the first floor, facing the courtyard, you will hear the bass line until 11pm.

incredible hotel. cozy, clean, good use of the space to maximize things and make the room feel bigger. near a really cool little brewery and centrally located within old porvoo. it was very rainy and windy when i was there, and this hotel felt very warm and welcoming. even though porvoo gets visited as a day trip a lot, i would highly recommend staying the night and slowing down the travel a bit to take advantage of this hotel.

Really nice hotel, a small oasis in the middle of beautiful Borgå. It’s not cheap but totally worth it with the quality they deliver. It’s of course well kept since it new; hope they keep it well maintained - then we will come back many times more

Breakfast selection could be a bit broader. Bit busy in the bar on a Saturday evening but then again it was Eurovision evening so that’s to be expected.

Nice, cozy boutique hotel in the very heart of the Porvoo old town. It's pretty new in Porvoo, so everything is in very good condition. It is well designed throughout, from the flow of the customer service all the way to the tiniest detail of Finnish design decoration etc. We had access to free, public sauna. Breakfast was of good quality and well designed. We live in Helsinki and arrived with bus, so we appreciated that the bus station was only 5 mins walk away. We will definitely come again!

Beautiful hotel in the center of Porvoo old town. Great location for exploring the old town. Beautiful rooms and hotel in general, loved the sauna in the attic! Amazing service from the friendly staff, and the breakfast was very good. We couldn’t fault anything and will definitely stay again soon!

The room was lovely and breakfast was great. The kids loved the playroom!

As the summer nights are light in Finland, the curtains could have been wider. At the moment the sun shines from the sides in the room. Not a major issue but it would help with sleep quality if the room could be darker.
