Everything is good

The check in system. Information indicates from 15h00-21h00, actually it’s automatic check in system for 24 hours, we didn’t have to hurry to arrive before 21h. And the reception desk was already closed when we came around 20h in hotel. Second problem, the automatic check in system has problems. We were locked outside in midnight because of the inactive room card (don’t understand why) and not work when we tried to collect new keys from check-in machine. Then we called the emergency number and solved in 30min. The solution came fast:)

The check in process is very easy! There's a machine outside to check in or you can do it at the front desk. The mall parking garage across the street is great, although busy on Saturdays (and empty Sundays), we had no problem finding a spot for our larger SUV. We were a short walk to Ludwigsburg Palace and again, the mall is across the street. The room was incredibly clean and had nice views. All the staff was kind and the breakfast (9.50 per person) had a wide variety!

The only thing that was odd was the design decision to have clear glass looking into the bathroom, so anyone else in the room could easily see a person using the toilet (I attached a pic). We were there as a family so it wasn’t a big deal but I could see it being a bit awkward depending who the travel companions are. (The pic is from the entrance to the room looking at the bathroom).

The best thing about this stay were the very friendly and understanding staff working at the hotel. I had a meeting 2 hours after the checkout time and they allowed me to stay a bit longer in the room, considering that there were no guest reservations for the following day.

The coffee milk available in the room had degraded, which ruined the coffee. Also the toilets smell like that in the Deutsche Bahn. Some kind of a sanitization would be needed for the toilets to smell better again, followed by a routine cleanup.

Nicely located close to the city center and a public parking that can be used. Spotless simple rooms that have all essentials and a coffee maker.

In particular on weekends and evenings it would be great to have access to some water/ drinks/ snacks from a vending machine. Also, a safe in the guest room would be greatly appreciated.

The location of this hotel is perfect for a visit to Ludwigsburg. It's literally spitting distance from the Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg, which is probably the main reason for visiting the town, but it would also make a good base for exploring the surrounding area. For parking, use Parkhaus im Marstall 71634, Bietigheimer Str, which is located directly across the road from the hotel. Ask the receptionist at check-in/out to validate your parking ticket to get a bit of a discount. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent. Our room had a double aspect, with one of the windows looking out towards the schloss. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

+ easy automatic check-in 24/7 + very clean rooms, well though and designed + great location (quiet place with shopping mall and large park few steps away) + very affordable breakfast

- would have liked better variety for breakfast but no complaints. For such a price it is great and keeps fed half the day - there is no reception/lounge in the afternoon / evening / night, so don't expect to grab some food/drinks if you are coming late (nice excuse to have a small walk though)

The location can't be beat! Right across the street from the Marstall shopping center and a few minutes' walk to the Residenzschloss. The staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was affordable and abundant.

The only thing I'd ask for is more or better pillows.

The hotel is very self-service, so it was convenient for our very late arrival. Breakfast was excellent and the staff was super friendly. We had an amazing view from our corner room.

Nothing. It was just different. It has a modern, IKEA feel to it.

Substantial breakfast, very friendly staff. Great location just a short walk from the Marktplatz with a good choice of restaurants, and right beside a shopping centre. Oh, and almost forgot to mention....right beside the palace.

Nothing not to like

Hotel is very new. Rooms are clean. Simple design but it is functional. Easy parking with some fee. Overall nice place.

Hotel is most of the time not staffed. Reception hours are short. You do self check in. So it feels like an airbnb rather than a hotel because you don’t have anyone in the building to talk to. No phone in the room to call anyone in case of emergency or sth also. There is a local number on the wall. But for international tourists it is tricky to call a local number. Although I did not need to call anybody this felt weird for me.
