Excellent location. Breakfast is tiny but has some nice offerings: fresh-cooked bacon, eggs, sliced veggies and fruit, fresh croissants and pains au chocolat. For our short 1-night stay, we were very happy.

The hotel is very old and has thin walls, so I recommend bringing ear plugs. It was warm during our stay, so we needed to keep the window open for circulation, and it was very noisy outside; nevertheless, we kept my phone's white noise app playing all night and slept extremely well.

This place is a 'hidden gem' because it just scores top in all categories. We decided to partake in a proper meal after numerous cycling days. The owner went through the menu translating as she went. That meal was extraordinary delicious and the included breakfast was plenty and again, delicious. They provided locked storage for our e-bikes. Staff went overboard to make our stay a winner! The many, many steps up to our room as it's so common several EU countries we've visited.

First off, amazing value for money. We paid very little and receiving a nice room WITH breakfast. The hotel was perfectly located right in the center but in a more quiet street. The room was clean and well-equiped. The beds were comfy and the bathroom had a bath and 2 sinks, perfect to our needs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were the last folks at breakfast one morning and the host asked us if we wanted any more specific items. And said breakfast was extensive for such a modest hotel.

The rooms aren't very soundproofed, so you'll hear your fellow guests quite regularly. The power sockets were in annoying spots, under the night stands. So I had to sit on my knees whenever I plugged in my charger.

Very characteristic hotel, with helpful and welcoming staff. Abundant and excellent breakfast in the restaurant located on the lower floor of the hotel, where you can also have dinner (I recommend trying it!). Located near a square with several restaurants and shops, about a 30-minute walk from the mines. The room is spacious enough (there is no elevator)."

As soon as we entered the room, we immediately noticed a strong odor coming from the bathroom, possibly from the drains of the sinks or toilet. Unfortunately, the odor was quite bothersome. Furthermore, the day after, when we returned to the hotel after a walk, our room had been tidied up, but they used bleach to clean the bathroom (and the windows closed), making the smell even stronger. Apart from this, there were no other issues, although I would suggest the establishment to put a warning on the stairs to watch out for your head while going down.

The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was brilliant- everything you could want The location was right by the main square so few minutes walk from restaurants and cafes.

Our only criticism was the sewage smell coming from the bathroom. as the bathroom so close to the bed with only a sliding door the smell did come into the room. Which is a shame as other than that the room was quaint and perfect for an overnight stay.

We had a great dinner at this hotel .The host was extremely helpful The hotel is situated down a quiet side street.so a good nights sleep.The bike lock up was very secure. Breakfast was. Fabulous ..the smoked salmon was the best and all included in the price.

From the friendly and helpful guy who checked us in and all the staffs. They are heplful, kind, approachable, and even did extra miles like the other guy who sent the food in our room. It wasn't his job bit he did it. The fine lady who let us borrowed utensils. Room is tidy, bedsheets and towels are clean. Breakfast is superb! We will definitely come back here when we visit Genk again!

The hostess was excellent, made us feel wanted and at home straight away. Served good local beer and an excellent steak. A very warm and friendly atmosphere, if in a quaint nostalgic way. Well worth using as a base to explore the local area.

Although I loved this hotel don't book if you are expecting modern high tech.

Very kind welcome by the hostess. Cosy and spacious room. Like staying at someone's guest room. Delicious breakfast. Central location. Overall a great experience.

Bathroom has some mold here and there. And matresses seem a bit old. But after a long day nothing to worry about.
