Love this hotel clean and beautiful personnel were incredibly polite and best breakfast by far from 12 hotels that I slept on during this puglia vacation

Everything was great during our stay at Hotel Europa Taranto. The staff was always very helpful, and a special thanks goes to Alessandra for her kindness. Even though we arrived a bit early and the room wasn’t ready yet, we were warmly welcomed with age-appropriate drinks for the whole family. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and we had nothing to complain about — a truly pleasant experience.

Streaming on the TV didn’t work during the first couple of days, but we made the most of our time with other activities. The staff addressed the issue and got it working before the end of our stay.

Our first visit to overnight in Puglia so we'd booked a villa just south of Taranto for a 2 week stay. Decided we deserved first two nights in a hotel to orient ourselves and delighted to discover the charms of Hotel Europa. Taranto's one way system is designed to test the patience of newcomers and we found ourselves on a circuit round the old town and fortuitously parked opposite the castello and the tourism information office who kindly pointed out that Hotel Europa was across the bridge immediately in front of us and a 3 minute walk away. Situated on a handy corner with splendid views of the Mediterranean and so-called Little Sea. A bonus to discover reserved parking spaces for guests at no extra cost. We were greeted and checked in by a gentleman called Marcello Centola, clearly a long-serving member of hotel and blessed with old-school courtesy-a true gentleman. He looked after us throughout the two days, always ready to help, and recommended a fine restaurant, Guernica, a couple of blocks away for our first evening. The following day we discovered Pasta Passione, equally good and just around the corner. We also enjoyed coffee and lunch at Barone opposite the castello. Breakfast was excellent with a large range of selection, especially breads and bakery items. We could not have had a nicer beginning for our stay in Puglia. I should mention that some of the rooms appear to have used the high ceilings to create an upstairs and downstairs with stairs that might prove challenging to older or less mobile folk but we found our room (401) to be perfectly comfortable if eccentrically arranged. Hotel is two minutes walk from the bridge separating the newer part of the city form the centro storica. We arrived in Bari and drove the 90 or so kilometers to Taranto which proved to be a great base for our stay to explore the southern areas of Puglia.

The room is spacious, there are 2 bathrooms both in the sitting room downstairs and in the bedroom upstairs which is very convenient. Staff is very friendly and helpful. However, it was a bit pricey for what we get and perhaps there are better choices in the city.

Parking is a big problem. The 5 free slots outside hotel is very difficult to get but so did the blue-line spaces in the few adjacent streets!!! Perhaps it was due to the fact that we went on a Saturday night so beware of parking problem if you are going to visit there in weekends. Hotel staff kindly offered us a covered parking at 25euros/night but that garage looked a bit uncomfortable to us and we finally chose street parking at a location suggested by staff (needa walk around 50-60 stair steps up to hotel)

Everything .the location right at edge of pier with wonderful views from our balcony. Price for 2 nights was very affordable and bonus was we were able to bring our little dog with us . The cost per nite for her was €15 and then a €30 cleaning charge after checking out .. Great value and they made us all feel so welcome over the 2 days including a welcome gift for our dogs. Breakfast included was amazing .everything tasted great and choice of various foods was fantastic. Staff from the moment we arrived to checking out were Brilliant. they even managed to get us free parking outside the hotel .or option of a secure parking with a few of course if needed.. We will definitely be coming back to stay maybe for a longer stay this time . 5 stars to this hotel and it's wonderful staff and views .

Would have liked linen curtains at the bay windows instead of shutters asi kind of fancied having that wonderful view of the harbour waking up each morning but could not as large windows and a bit exposed if lying or sitting on the bed ...

Big room with great lighting clean bed and towels. Rich breakfast but some of the fresh products were re used the next days so you could tell that they weren’t fresh anymore, and not good to eat. The staff is great, really kind. Don’t take the taxi with the hotel, the guy that they call charge a lot more than normal taxis.

The room floor wasn’t super clean I could see the dust in the angles and the last night the a/c started dropping water for no reason. Also the sink was a little unattached from the wall. But for the rest the room was okay

Nice hotel located on a corner adjoining the the Old Town and the "little sea" separated from the Old Town by the artificial canal out to the Mediterranean. Taranto can be breezy and the Hotel has an "air lock" arrangement at the main door to prevent the prevailing wind annoying guests inside. The accommodation is spacious and clean, we have a mezzanine style suite with beds both in the main room and upstairs and a balcony view over the old town and sea. Breakfast is buffet-style both hot and cold with some local dishes. Staff were all very helpful. If you get a chance try the excellent free tour of the nearby Castello operated by the Italian Navy. It's a 20-30 min walk to the main station via the island the Old Town is on.

While it's nicely situated it's neither in the Old Town or in the busier shopping area of the new town. Little else to fault it though.

We loved Hotel Europa. The rooms are large and have comfy beds. The location is perfect - close to everything! 5 minutes from the Old City and 5 minutes from the commercial center featuring the latest Italian fashions. But the piece de resistance and heart of the hotel is its staff - I was very impressed at their pro-customer approach at all times. From little things like welcoming you back to the hotel every time you come back to more complex issues which required going out of their way to help. We really appreciated everything and wholeheartedly recommend Hotel Europa.

Nothing

The duplex room had a beautiful view of the sea. It was spacious with stairs that led to the upper half of the room. There were separate bathrooms for both floors which I appreciated. My initial flights were cancelled and the staff were amazing and accommodated the change in dates without issue. The breakfast was good too and the hotel was well located with easy access to the old town and new.

The room upstairs only had one accessible plug so charging multiple phones simultaneously was not a possibility. There were a couple of cobwebs on the ceiling but I appreciate it was a difficult to reach area.

The hotel's location is exceptional, right in the heart of the city, very close to both the old town and the new center. We had a corner room with a spectacular view of the port and the castle. The staff was very friendly and always ready to assist us with any request. The room was very spacious, clean, and offered an amazing view. We used the nearby parking recommended by the hotel. Everything was excellent, and I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit to Taranto
