The staff were really friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant and food at dinner were excellent. The buffet breakfast had everything you could want. The location is perfect for an overnight stop, being on the road and just outside Lyon. We would definitely return.

Just for reference the hotel is an older style property as the name suggests, including some steep stone steps up to the bedroom, which was quite small and a bit dated but reasonably comfortable. Double windows means you can't hear the traffic outside, although the close proximity of other rooms means you definitely hear fellow guests coming and going!

Very comfortable, clean and thoughtfully decorated rooms with a keen sense of humour (in a positive way!), excellent breakfast and dinner in an ideal location for us travelling south. The owner and her staff could not do too much - wonderful hosts in every way; in particular in our case they really went above and beyond this helping us to resolve our tyre blow-out which had occurred on our way there - we cannot thank them enough.

Nothing about the hotel, our predicament prevented us taking advantage of the swimming pool!

Friendly staff who spoke some English, plenty of character with parking on site. We were allowed to take our dog in the restaurant as well as in the room. The evening meal offered was either a la carte or set menu - both very good. Breakfast was self service and held in a separate dining room with a good choice of typical French petit déjeuner - bread, croissants, eggs, tea and coffee. Overall a great place for an overnight stay.

The heating was not in when we checked into the room, so as it was winter we put the radiator on and it warmed up the room by the time we returned from dinner.

We stayed here as an overnight stop travelling back North. The hotel was easy to find. It has a small carpark. The staff were very friendly, and made checking in very easy. We ate at the restaurant and the food was excellent. The room was comfortable and we slept really well (really large comfortable bed). I can't comment on breakfast as we had an early start. Would I recommend this hotel? Yes. Would we stay here again.. definitely.

We liked the area, and it was well situated for a break on our journey south. There are some interesting bars and shops in the town and we had a very nice afternoon walk after we arrived. The food in the restaurant was great, we had a lovely stay. The staff were very helpful

Nicely themed hotel that suited us for a stop over whilst travelling back to UK. Rooms are simple but suited our needs. The best thing about the hotel was the food. Top quality menu of 3 courses for €32. Every course was delicious.

We liked everything about this hotel. Built around the medieval mansion, this hotel is very cozy. The room was big and clean, with a convenient and comfortable bed. The lady at the reception spoke very good English and was extremely helpful. There is a free parking onsite.

A real gem! Charlotte was great & couldn’t do enough for us-the room was comfortable and as for the reasonably priced food: excellent with a good choice and wine menu. Highly recommend!

Great location, only a 20 min drive to Lyon. The village itself is really pretty and has a path get the river that’s great for walking and running. I liked the countryside location as it’s what I was visiting. My room was also very pretty for the price.
