This bnb is run by a Chinese family with a warm heart, burning hot in the cold north Canada. They will tell you everything straight like nobody else. If you are loud or talk too much, they will tell you to shut up. When they have reservations they give their room to you and let you use the bathroom first. One young son was always waiting in front of the computer with a curtain as his only place to relax and hide a bit. They also keep their private belongings in some suitcases near the stairs, never disturbing nobody. If you live in the same world where making money is a war, please think about their feelings. Would you choose this lifestyle in YK ? You would probably experience what a family is here better than nowhere. Family fights, family is happy, this is human thing more than business. So please book here to bring some happiness to them. If you're not happy, if you snore at night, or if it ever crossed your mind that a customer needs special services please book a different place.

Nice and very clean house and room. Very friendly and helpful host. Nice place to meet interesting fellow guests. Within walking distance of restaurants and downtown area. Coffee and tea available all the time. One of the more economic places to stay while in Yellowknife. We enjoyed our stay; many thanks!

Nothing we really didn't like. But be aware there is no breakfast.

The location is great. Very central. We walked everywhere. The host is very friendly and provided great suggestions for things to see and do. The rooms and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The rooms are a bit spartan but that is to be expected for the price. Excellent value for the money.

Excellent value for the cost. Quiet. Friendly helpful host. Coffee house & restaurants in walking distance. Comfortable temperature inside. Host suggested a sightseeing site and gave me a ride across town to reach it. Host accommodated my desire to stay an extra day.

I was given a room next to a group of visitors who were watching the northern lights. Their traffic made lots of noise at night. The owner said next time she could arrange a room that’s quiet far from the tourist group

Our B&B host went above and beyond! Would recommend YK B&B to everyone I know. Sophia and her family were welcoming and knowledgeable. The expectations and value far exceeded what I could of ever anticipated. Just truly amazed at our experience.

The hosts were kind, the room was really really cozy, and this place is right in the downtown close to the main street and lots of restaurants and tourist shops. There is also a heated toilet seat, which we loved!!

Tiny bit noisy when we tried to sleep in the afternoon, with loud talking and piano. But not usually a problem if you just sleep at normal times :)

The host was very nice and responsive. Her restaurant recommendations were good. The beds were comfortable. It was clean everywhere in the house.

It would be good to have a clothes rack in the room as 2 hooks on the door were not enough to hang our clothes.

Very friendly and flexible host, we arrived late but got all the information we needed for self check-in. Peaceful area within a walking distance of the center, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The room was comfortable and the shared bathroom very clean.
