The hotel is located close to the edge of downtown and just up the hill from Old Town, making it easy to explore both on foot. The room was clean and a good size. It also had air conditioning, which was great due to the heat wave Yellowknife was having. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The Restaurant onsite has tasty desserts and they were also very friendly. The hotel also has an airport shuttle.

We unfortunately were told that the hotel had been overbooked and we were given a room with 2 queen beds instead of a room with 1 king bed. But the manager and other staff were quick to apologize and give us a partial refund.

We had a double queen bed room, and it was larger than typical hotel rooms. We had four people with a lot of winter gear, so the extra floor space was really appreciated for our suitcases and other stuff. It was a short few blocks to the center of town, there were plug-ins for keeping our car engine warm, and the hotel was on the list for pick up by all of the tour companies we booked with.

Spacious room with kitchenette. Walking distance to downtown. Great steam shower in exercise room. Friendly staff. On-site restaurant.

Tiles in kitchenette chipped and cracked. TV too small for size of room. Jet tub failed to work.

The nova inn is within walking distance of things to see and do in Old Town Yellowknife

The inn faces a main road into the Old Town section, so there is a bit of traffic nose on the odd number rooms. The restaurant was closed for some reason, but the Explorer hotel had a nice dinning room, 5 to 6 minute walk

At first we had side by side rooms which was great! Staff was very helpful with the few problems we had, they made sure to do.best to fix them and explain. The location is amazing between Old Town and Downtown

On the only main street of Yellowknife, the Franklin Ave, close to the entrance of Yellowknife, the Ingraham Trail for hunting the lights, visitor center, city hall, museum and legislative assembly, old town, the popular bistro for local fish, the ice road, etc. The room was spacious, clean and relatively quiet.

Tap water was very small, I have to always use the shower. Coffee was not supply timely. People walking on the upper floor was noisy.

I liked that it was close to downtown, and walking distance to everywhere, the staff were amazing, the beds were comfortable and my room was very clean.

I could hear noise coming from the hallway all night, people walking, doors opening. My room was on the first floor. Besides this my stay was very pleasurable.

Staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel shuttle after my flight was easy to find and didn't require extra effort to book. The room itself was comfortable and there was a Keurig in the room for coffee.

Excellent location beside the Heritage Centre walking distance to Pandavil (the only restaurant for dinner) and the Northern(a general store) easy to find and access

The staff were all wonderful and very helpful.

It’s an older property, and shows it’s age a little. But honestly, I’ll take a little dated with lovely people and chill atmosphere over new and flashy.
