The "room" was in fact a 2 bedroom apartment with a huge living room. The furnishing was not on a level of an international branded hotel, but adequate and comfortable. The property appears as if it is a converted apartment block and as such the rooms are really the apartments, which makes for a very comfortable stay. The staff are friendly "nothing is too much trouble" and the Ovio Café next door to the property will give you the best breakfast you could get anywhere in the world, at a quarter of the price. Very pleasant and up market neighbourhood (by Cairo standards) and quiet. Truly recommendable

Our delux room had a very spacious living area in addition to three good size bedrooms, small kitchen and fridge. Super clean, and super nice modern feel. The staff was professional and courteous. The location was great with three or four nice cafe/restaurants nearby (less than one minute walk).

The internet was weak, slow, frequently timed out, and never saves or allow you to save any part of login credentials. It was bothersome enough that I turned it off and just used cell data instead.

The Royal Maadi Hotel is our favorite place to stay in Maadi. The location is ideal, surrounded by a variety of restaurants and within walking distance of every convenience. The rooms are massive! Clean, comfortable, well-lit, all the appliances working, secure, and quiet. Finally, the staff are so pleasant and accommodating! It always feels like coming home.

The mattresses are harder than I like, but still we had very restful nights. Everything else was perfect.

The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the main streets of Maadi. Right next door there are coffee shops, restaurants and there is soon to be a bar and on the top floor of the hotel itself there is an Italian restaurant. We had a double suite with terrace which was very spacious with a decent size balcony. It was on the 8th floor and the pyramids could easily be seen on a clear day. The room was cleaned every day and the sheets were changed every day which was very much appreciated as Westerners such as us struggle with the temperatures, even with an extremely good a/c system. The staff were very friendly, cheerful and helpful and we had quite a few laughs with them, especially Ayman and his colleague but I cannot remember his name - sorry but we joked about how Ayman had 'escaped'.

There wasn't anything as there isn't anything really not to like. There are improvements that could be made but read and understand the description in full. It may be called a 'Hotel' but it does not offer the full services or have the facilities of a hotel.

Very friendly and professional staff, with a smile and a welcome every time we arrived back. Our suite was comfortable and spacious. Below the hotel are an excellent bar and a great cafe, serving good value food all day. The hotel was perfectly placed for us and we would stay here again with no hesitation when visiting friends in Maadi.

The aircon was noisy and not very effective, and we would have liked at least a limited free wifi in the room. But these did not advsersely affect our stay.

I loved my stay at ‘Royal Maadi hotel’. Fantastic location - surrounded by nice restaurants & bars. The area seemed affluent & appealing for tourists. I’m coming back to the hotel in the summer. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else than there when I’m in ‘Cairo’. & the staff are all very polite, endearing & hospitable. If everyone was like the staff members there - the world would be such a better place.

Even tho it's quite far away, it's a safe and great neighbourhood, very young adults friendly. The staff was beyond kind and nice.

It seems they are renovating the building, which is great, but unfortunately we had to live with the noise and a little bit of the smell. I'm pretty sure when it's done, it will be really great. Fortunately, as the staff was extremely kind, they moved us to another room and it was everything better.

Royal Maadi was exactly what we were looking for: big room in a quaint neighbourhood close to my wife's office where she was having meetings. Many restaurants next door. Good place if you have reasons to be in Maadi area, otherwise a bit far from the center if you come to Cairo just for sightseeing. Ask for a upper storey room with a balcony: we could see Saqqara's pyramid from ours.

Location was very good to access many places we needed to go to by walking. Also a good number of restaurants to choose from next door.

Aircon was too cold and hard to control

Exceptional location - relatively quiet, but with multiple restaurants/cafes/bars nearby. Nice, clean rooms. Friendly, efficient staff. Overall, a great place to stay in Cairo, particularly if you need to be in Maadi - highly recommended

Nothing worth mentioning, to be fair... my only real complaint is that they always seem to be fully booked which can get a bit disappointing
