Theresa was a super hostess! Breakfast was outstanding. The location was 2 minutes from our event. The house is nicely furnished in period decor. Our room was very comfortable and clean. The bed was also very comfortable. I am 6'4" and it felt great to fully stretch out my long legs in the claw foot tub (can't do that at home). This was our first experience staying at a B&B and it was a memorable 4 night stay. We will definitely return.

The room was not serviced on a daily basis. Both the hot and cold water on the bathroom sink leaked from the valve stem and both dripped continuosly. The leaky, dripping faucet shouldn't be something the guest has to report. The toilet flush handle had to be held down for a full flush. The toiletries were very old and the conditioner had turned yellow. None of these were a deal breaker, but little things like this make the difference between a nice stay and an exceptional stay.

The inn keeper went out of her way to accommodate our dietary requests. The food was excellent! We also loved the charm of the inn, and the room was beautiful. It was perfect for a trip away from the rush and bustle of life.

There was not anything that we did not like, though you should know that this place is on the bay and not on the beach. The nearest beach is about an hour’s drive away. This was not an issue for us, however.

Words cannot express the shear Joy and the beautifulness of this place the friendliness of the staff that excellent food that was served to us and the loving care taken Going there on a midweek off-season was just a delight we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves which made for a very relaxing experience I honestly want to write a bad review so that others won't go there and we can keep it to ourselves The main thing I like was the Victorian bathtub and the room facing the water also liked the Exquisite breakfast that was made for us that morning the coffee the Danish is the the presentation was just superb

Great location, beautiful view, and historic charm. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. I wasn’t able to stay for the breakfast but it smelled wonderful! Theresa is a gracious host. I highly recommend The Peaceful Pelican if your travels to you to Palacios.

There’s nothing I didn’t like. It’s a historic home so obviously it has old fixtures and furnishings and shows some wear and tear, but that’s part of the charm.

Loved the history and location of the B&B. The owner & staff were very accommodating. The room(s) were clean and well appointed for needs.

The areas outside of guest rooms could use some love and tidying up. But nothing serious.

A very quaint and quiet home. Very pretty and just a perfect end to a very busy trip. The house is very charming and full of history and little things to see at every turn. There was a dedicated area for 24 hour coffee, refreshments and glasses. The housekeeper was a lovely welcoming lady and her breakfast was very nice. The bed was amazing with settings for both sides.

Nothing it was all good

We were there Sunday over Monday. The whole town was quiet. But, of those people we did come across, everyone of them were friendly. One of the most peaceful places we've been to. We enjoyed walking the sidewalk along the seawall during the day and evening.

It was sad to see the beautiful architecture of the downtown buildings were in a poor state, abandoned.

Terrific location, very friendly staff and a delicious homemade breakfast. This heritage house has a lot of character and is facing the bay. I have stayed here several times.

The room had a beautiful view of the bay and I felt so peaceful.

That the other tents there were extremely loud and had no respect for the other tents who were still sleeping. I wish there were signs that stated to please be mindful of the other guest in Air B&B

There wasn't anything to NOT like! It was absolutely perfect! The view, the breakfast, the adorable room, very comfortable bed and sheets....just everything! Not to mention the owner and inn keeper were THE sweetest people and made you feel so comfortable.

That I had to leave!
