The hotel has a enviable location right on the beach in St George Island with the added advantage of a great bar and restaurant almost next door, The Blue parrot. Its ore motel than hotel and the initial impression may be its a little dated from the outside of the rooms but inside the rooms are spacious, comfortable, clean and with all mod cons. You could not want for more.

Not much, initial impression until we got into the room and a few early morning noisy arrivals but the hotel cant legislate for that, We where by the pool on the way to the beach so its to be expected and when people where not making a lot of noise it was a great spot.

I feel even though it’s on the beach the price is a little high for a hotel that don’t t have any upgrades, still Looks like it’s late 80’s -90ish felt like I was waiting on someone to bang my door down. The floors hold way too much sand, shower head need to be replaced, the bed is a hard mattress that on a box wood bottom, My husband have a big bruise on his leg from bumping it to it. Just not my idea place to stay for vacation. One ice machine and it didn’t work, only coffee station in lobby, be mindful if you book here please let them know don’t put you next to kids or a dog you will hear them all night.its no housekeeping you will have to the front desk for all your need. And request if you need your room clean up.

We absoutly loved our time at the Buccaneer! the staff was friendly and attentive and offered good advice on where to go and what to do. It is really located well, right in the middle of everything you need. The grocery store, the restaurants, and even the beach rental store were a quick walk. In fact, once we parked, we did not move the car the whole week. The room was nice and the facilities were great. My wife and I especially loved the ocean front deck where we watched the sunrise and drank coffee!! Overall, a great place and experience.

It was close to everything, we were able to walk to restaurants and the beach. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and perfect for our needs. The outside deck was great for reading and feeling the ocean breeze in the evenings. We did not bring our dogs but were impressed by the dog friendliness of the hotel and the island. If you are looking for comfortable, solid, clean and friendly accommodations, on the ocean and near everything, this is your place. If you are looking for a boujee place with lots of extras, keep looking.

The location was right on the beach. The staff were nice and friendly-gave us extra coffee The hotel was within walking distance of restaurants Nice Toiletries You can rent umbrella and beach chairs from a local company It looks like an old timey Florida Hotel.

The bathroom looked old-needs a new toilet seat and renovation. I dropped a pill and it went under the bed. When I looked under the bed, there was all kinds of trash and lots of spider webs. It was gross. We found a half eaten ice cream cone in the freezer.

We absolutely loved staying so close to the beach with the property being the only one with access to it. Staff were super friendly and helpful, we had our requests always taken care of promptly. Fairly quiet stay, with plenty of restaurant options in walking distance. Overall a super nice stay!

Since we are used to our softer mattress it was a bit hard to get good rest on a firmer one, but other than that detail everything was perfect!

Second year in a row staying at Buccaneer Inn. Hands down best value on St. George Island. <$200/night for a beachside hotel room is a steal in my opinion, especially one with a pool. A pool with a 7' deep end, at that. Rooms were clean and staff were friendly. We will be back for year three in 2026! Thank you Buccaneer Inn.

Pool was opened late almost everyday, but if you let a staff member know they will open it for you. Pool was also a little dirty.

Beach Front property was deciding factor for this booking. I read past reviews and was hesitate to book, but I am so glad I did ! The rooms are large, clean and there has been lots of upgrades to the property. I will definitely stay there again.Front desk staff was always very friendly and helpful with all my questions. Other quest were all very friendly as well.

there is nothing i didn't like. maybe next time I'll ask for ground floor as my knees are reminding me i'm getting old ! Ha

Prime location on the beach and also near eateries. Nice pool and a shaded deck area with a great view of the ocean. The room was large and very clean. Comfortable King bed. The bathroom was also very clean, and soap, shampoo and conditioner were provided. The room had a coffee maker which we didn't use - excellent coffee and tea are provided in the lobby. Great value for money. The staff were very nice.

No drinks allowed on the pool deck. Room supplies, fresh towels and linen change are only upon request. As mentioned in other reviews, the hotel (which is more in the style of a motel) could use some modernization and/or upgrading of amenities. But then it would surely be more expensive and for us this is really a minor point. Although we paid upfront through booking.com, the hotel tacked on a $1.08 charge which was the tax on the resort fee. This appears to be booking.com's problem because the hotel told us they've tried more than once to inform booking.com of this charge. Obviously not a big concern, but just wanted others to know about it.

I loved the location on the beach and walk-ability to several restaurants. The facility is small enough that you don't have to wait in lines and it's easy to get things from your room down to the beach. We enjoyed getting coffee from the lobby and sitting on the boardwalk with it before heading to the sand for the day. Bed was cozy. The facility is pet friendly and family friendly. Not luxury accommodations by any means but it's a great place to stay for a good price. Remember that it's a hotel, not a condo

The AC unit in the room was very loud. I didn't sleep well the first night but trained my brain to think of it as white noise the rest of the stay.
