Service and facilities were exceptional. Staff members spoke English well. Not only was there breakfast included in the price, but also Yakult and ice cream for cooling down after taking a bath in the hotel's 9th floor onsen, as well as late night ramen and a small complimentary snack in the refrigerator of the room. The public bathing facilities were very clean with many bathing amenities, and included free washing machines (no need to bring your own laundry detergent) and incredibly cheap and effective drying machines. The bathing facilities could be used even very late at night/early morning. There was a wet sauna in the bathing area as well. Fresh towels were provided daily to my room, with no need to request it. I had such a good experience with Dormy Inn in Fukui that any future trips I plan to Japan will have this hotel chain as a first priority when booking places to stay.

I have no complaints at this time.

A nice budget-friendly option in a city that isn't exactly dripping with hotels, but apparently doesn't see that many tourists, so the Dormy Inn seemed like a nice reliable option - 5min walking to the station, modern light building, and the on site onsen would be perfect for relaxation after along day sightseeing. I arrived quite early, and left my bag, then headed to Eiheiji, and checked in in the the late afternoon. My room was very small and not overly luxurious, but the bed comfortable. Of course I stayed mainly for the beautiful onsen, one indoors and one outdoors, both quite spacious and well maintained! I'd stay there again, it is not a romantic hotel or super luxurious, but very convenient and I slept very well.

Not a lot. I got a good rate and I am perfectly happy with what I got. The sheets were a little scratchy, the room was quite small, it was carpeted ( I don't like hotel carpets) but that's big time whingeing, really. In short, it was lovely and fine!

Almost everything was good. The location was reasonably close to the station. The onsen was good. The check-in/out process was very easy. Staff were nice. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the room design was convenient. Toiletries were good quality. And I always love the small things at Dormy Inn, like free ice cream every night, plus a surprise gift in the room fridge.

Just the breakfast. Dormy Inn is a midrange hotel but since the price of breakfast was similar to higher range hotels, the variety was disappointing. For example, the kaisendon selection of seafood was limited and for drinks, there were no fruit juices. There were also no wholemeal breads. We had better experiences at other Dormy Inns.

A nice hotel that was close to Fukui station. Breakfast was pretty good too. The free onsen is the best way to unwind after a day of walking. While enjoying the onsen, you could also wash your clothes for free in the washing machine, then dry it for just 100 yen in the dryer. Once you are done in the onsen, you can grab an ice-cream (in the evening) or probiotic drink (in the morning).

Parking was located on a one-way road, so I had to make a slight detour. Having experienced the excellent 10/10 service at Onyado Nono Matsue Natural Hot Spring which was also operated by Dormy Inn, I had a slight disappointment. The cleanliness of my room could definitely be further improved.

I love Dormy Inn. This is my third time staying at a hotel in this chain, and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is excellent, the rooms are some of the cleanest I have ever seen, and the free yonaki soba offered is delicious (as always!). This Dormy Inn (the Premium refers to the location as it is in the "downtown" area) is close to food and transportation. It also has excellent onsen facilities and the coin laundry machines are free (although dryers are ¥100 per 20 minutes).

There is absolutely nothing to dislike. Very comfortable, affordable (I booked the room with a 50% discount sale they were running) and friendly staff. I will definitely be staying at another Dormy Inn again.

Amazing onsen to enjoy. Even with tattoos, tou até allowed. Just have to cover with a sticker they give (8x11cm). Just remove it after each use. I have left for 2 days and was very difficult to remove. After o e use it is easier. Have free noodles soup at night which allows for free dinner. While in Fukui enjoy Daihonzan Eiheiji temple and go to Katsuyama not only for the dinnassaur museus but also for the Echizen Daibutsu temple. No tourist and one of the most beautiful.

The hotel is just a short walk from the train station and surrounded by many great restaurants. The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were warm and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of options. In addition to the hot spring, they also offered complimentary ice cream and Yakult, which was a lovely touch. We truly enjoyed our holiday.

The breakfast ends a bit early. It would be better if it could end at 10 or 10:30.

A few minutes walk from the station. There is a mall just next door. Eateries and mini mart within walking distance. Staff friendly and efficient. Check in and out was a breeze. Decent size room with comfortable bed. There is a sliding door that separate the sleeping area from the entrance way. Room comes with the usual amenities and wifi connection is good. The onsen on the 9th floor is pretty big. The outdoor pool though not huge is great. Will definitely stay here again if passing through Fukui City.

The breakfast buffet was wonderful. The staff were really helpful and courteous. The room was comfortable and very clean, and the bathroom was quite nice. The public bath and sauna were very nice. I would recommend this place.

The website photos give the impression that the onsen is on ground level, not on the 9th or 10th floor. This seemed a bit deceptive, as I was expecting an onsen outside, with adjacent grounds. Most of the onsen facilities were inside, and while they were nice, it wasn't what I thought I had signed up for.

It was a good location , more quiet but not far off from where the train station was at. The staff spoke english and make communication easier. Our group had a small mishap where we left a laptop behind and the hoel staff was quick to find it and informed us, and also helped to arrange for it to be couriered to our next destination in Nagoya. Excellent customer service.

Took a while to figure out where the parking is at when we first reached. Besides the elevator parking it also has curbside parking avaliable. It was more of the issue of street rather than the surroungings. The street lightining outside the hotel can be a bit dark as well for some reason, but still felt safe enough when walking back at night from train station.
