From the moment I walked into the reception and was warmly greeted, I knew this was a good find. Daryl & Lisa were very welcoming and informative and I quickly got shown to my room which was clean and very well equipped. The grounds are very neat and tidy too. There’s a small store (On The Spot) just behind and a fantastic restaurant (The Hard Antler) less than 100m away. There’s also a beautiful trail that starts just behind Heritage Park. Daryl & Lisa only took ownership four months ago and are working hard to make it special.

I had only booked for one night !!!

The managers were very friendly. They gave great advice about restaurants and places to see. The room although small was clean and inviting.. the beds were comfortable. Loved the covered walkway outside. Close to all shops and restaurants.

The walls were a bit thin snd loud talking next door delayed sleep. Maybe a cooking room with stove top and table would enhance the overall experience as nit everyone wants yo eat out and it would keep rooms tidy. But overall we would definitely go back again.

I received a very warm welcome on arrival. We were given great directions to places to visit and recommended places to eat. The room and facilities were fantastic and the kitchen was well equipped. There was a cafetiere and ground coffee, which was a nice surprise, as well as hot chocolate and instant coffee too. There was a wet room shower, with plenty of hot water and nice towels. It was quiet and comfortable for our one night stay.

If you want WiFi that is fast and always connected, this is not the place to stay. Very sporadic and a poor signal at best. Very limited TV channels, if you want to watch something.

Welcomed by the lovely host who was very friendly and showed me to the motel suite. She was very helpful and shared that a great meal could be had at the local pub The Hard Antler literally next door. She was right it was a great meal and a fantastic pub with great atmosphere. The suite was very comfortable and decorated with love. The garden view was lovely and the garden was well maintained. Very nice motel worth stopping at when travelling the west coast.

Loved it all.

We enjoyed our stay on a cold, wet night. The room was warm when we arrived. It was spotlessly clean and a sofa was a comfortable place to look out at the rain. Beds had electric blankets and good bed side lighting. We could have cooked a meal because the kitchen was well set up, but we walked to the Hard Antler. They catered well for my many dietary allergies. A very pleasant stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Location is spectacular for getting around the Hasst region. Night sky was incredible. Comfy bed and a nice shower. Ample parking and a short walk to the shop and pub for meals. And a smart TV! Just what you want.

The room got a bit hot with no air-conditioning, but we weren't really in the room during the day anyway. It is well ventilated at night.

Location is in the middle of a small township called Haast. Everthing you need is very close (shop, cafe, restaurant/bar). Room was very adequate. Lovely caring owner called Lisa who was really helpful. Loved Haast. A proper 'back of beyond' experience. Do visit the beach. It is remote, rugged and thrilling!

Very clean, comfortable, quiet location, very lovely and knowledgeable hosts. The gentleman offered his great knowledge of the area and eateries and even lent my husband a book on the glaciers which he found fascinating. The gentleman’s wife was so lovely too; we enjoyed our chat about NZ and all the wonderful places to visit. Such lovely hosts in the beautiful location of Haast! Thank you both and all the best for your future!

We enjoyed everything.

From check-in to check-out, our stay was wonderful. The two-bedroom was the perfect size for three adults and the bathroom and shower were superb. Loved the water pressure! The location in Haast was perfect for walking to breakfast and to The Hard Antler Restaurant right next door. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking pots and pans and the refrigerator adequate for our needs!

Nothing to note here.

We didn't do breakfast at the motel Location was excellent for cafes and bars

We didn't like the bed. Quite uncomfortable. Mattress not the best quality. A mattress topper would have made a huge difference / improvement. Thin walls, could clearly hear conversation from next units. Not good when trying to sleep
