This place has everything you could need. We stopped by on our way from the glaciers to Wanaka and it had everything a weary traveller could want, including a well equipped kitchen and washing and drying facilities. Perfect place to stop for a night of rest and recharge when you’re on the road. The bed is sooooooo comfortable and there was coffee tea milk and cookies provided. I slept like a baby. Shower was great too. Karsten was very efficient and informative. It’s right by the beach too so you can borrow some chairs and go watch the sunset. Highly recommend a stay here.

The hotel was a lovely character building that was very neat well kept. The room was very spacious, very clean and tidy with lovely decor. The bathroom was huge and had a wonderful shower with easy to adjust piping hot water. The facilities for self-catering were excellent with a stove-stop, electric fry pan and microwave and all the necessary kitchen equipment. Just over the road from access to the beach it was lovely to hear the waves crashing during the night. The room absolutely exceeded our expectations as we did not expect such an exceptional room in a small town.
There was absolutely nothing that we could fault on this property. Although we were only there for one night, there was no doubt you could stay here for longer quite comfortably.

West Coast hidden gem! Out of Haast township and worth the extra drive! Across the road from the beach - and a cheeky beach view from the top floor balcony! Beach adorned with driftwood and timeworn beach pebbles and stones where you can walk the wide shore on your own not another person in sight! Catch a stunning sunset if you are keen! Perfectly newly renovated family unit, exceptional quality and little touches of cookies and coffee and lollies added a welcoming touch! Host was a real People person and loved to chat about local tips and places to see! Other bonus on the beautiful beach were Hector’s dolphins cruising past!!
Nothing it was an impressive find !!

Absolutely loved our apartment! Such a Wonderful location and private access to the beach across the road. The apartment was immaculate! So clean and very stylish and modern, with everything we needed. But the attention to detail and all the things that the hosts have added was just superb. Wonderful, friendly, helpful hosts. Their local tip allowed us to see dolphins in seperate locations on both days! We also loved the little Motel lamb! Beautiful Motel, scenery and location to Haast is perfect! We finished our last night with a Beautiful Aurora!

Spacious, clean and very serviceable. You aren't going to get a room at the Ritz but you will get very comfortable accommodation with easy access to the beach and stunning sunset/sunrise views. Very well located with the main Haast township just 4-5 min away by car. The two storey apartments comfortably sleep 5 people. Well serviced with a good kitchenette and all the necessary equipment and free laundry service.
Nothing really, all in all, great value for money.

German-Kiwi Karsten and his wife keep the cleanest and most cared-for place we’ve stayed at in New Zealand. Everything was spotless and meticulously organised. Beds were super comfortable and smelled fresh. Although the motel has no direct view of the sea due to a higher dune, the short 100m walk to the wild Haast beach opposite the road provides the perfect setting for a cuppa or glass of wine to watch the sunset. Magical.

The Beach Motel is in the middle of nowhere, some 5km south of the tiny township of Haast, so our expectations were inevitably depressed. In the event we were surprised and delighted from the moment of our charming reception onwards. Our room was enormously spacious, well equipped and immaculately clean. A very comfortable bed and an excellent shower completed the package. The motel is located about 150 metres from the sea shore, where you find mile after mile of deserted beach heaped with fantastical drift wood and trees. Inland the flat fields give way to vegetation clad hills that are mostly wreathed in cloud. A most satisfactory stay, thank you.
The weather, but that's the west coast!

The unit we stayed in was clean, spacious, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
We went for an enjoyable walk on the beach, unaware of the problem with sand flies. Consequently, we were bitten many times and it was quite unpleasant. It would have been helpful had we been pre-warned so could have prepared ourselves by applying insect repellant. Not sure if you stock a suitable product for purchase by your customers

The hotel has some two story rooms with beds upstairs and downstairs so we had lots of room. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen well equipped. We liked the “coffee in a bag” like tea bags as it was very good. The beach access sounded good but torrential rain kept us from checking it out. They did warn us that there is not much to Haast so we were prepared to eat as soon as we saw a restaurant.
No body wash in the shower.

So many thoughtful details from complimentary cookies and sweets, a sensor light in bathroom, a stool and hooks in the bathroom, huge shower and beautiful Prija toiletries - all filled to the top. Gorgeous headboard and bedding, freshly renovated and painted - it was just an absolute pleasure to stay here. Karsten was so helpful and friendly and as for the Tasman Sea across the road!! Just stunning….
The pillows were sad but everything made up for that!
