Wonderful staff! Everyone from reception to kitchen are super friendly and make everything to make us fell comfortable. The breakfast was really good and everything fresh. The whole pousada is super charming Colonial Style and has a good vibe. The location is amazing, walking distance from everything and wonderful neighbourhood for an evening in the bar in front of the Pousada with Local music. The view from the restaurant is amazing, feels like you are in a small paradise inside Olinda.

I understand by the location is not possible to have private parking. Just as every other place around this location you have to park your car at the street.

Staying at Pousada do Amparo in Olinda was truly a delightful experience. The room felt like a step back in time, blending the elegance of colonial architecture with modern comfort. This charming pousada perfectly captures the essence of Olinda: its natural beauty, rich history, and warm-hearted people. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, always attentive and kind. It was such a wonderful stay that we’re already planning our return!

The staff was very kind and the location perfect. A beautiful house with charm and historical decor. The definition of a boutique hotel (few rooms as well). Their restaurant Flor de Coco is good for dinner.

Our bedroom was beautiful but probably the worst in terms of noisy (milagres) as it was on the first floor on the street. Shutters (no windows) could not protect us enough and we could feel and hear every car, hear every conversation from the bar downstairs.

Given the colonial origin of the building, the room is not soundproofed at all, and you can hear everything from the rest of the pousada and the street. The furnishings are not always well-maintained. There's a slight musty smell, and the plaster on the walls is sometimes in poor condition.

A charming old building in the historic center of Olinda. Great breakfast and a good restaurant for dinner in the evenings. Friendly staff. Our room had a huge Jacuzzi style bath tub and a fabulous view over the city.

I have been to Olinda several times, but this was my first time staying at the Pousada do Amparo, and it was very, very good! This charming B&B sits on a lovely street in this historic city. They converted 2 adjoining houses into this pousada (they also occupy another building on the opposite side of the street). Parts of the building date back to the 18th Century & they have left much in place, but have updated enough of the space so that you have all the modern conveniences. Our room had a queen-sized bed that was very comfortable; the bathroom was nice. The room also had a loft with a really cute seating area. Our room had a view of the garden and the city of Recife in the distance. All of the employees were friendly and helpful (if not always well-informed about what was and was not open in the town). There is a pool surrounded by a lovely garden with various seating areas. Breakfast, which is included, is served in the hotel´s restaurant (Bistro Flor de Coco, which is open to the public for lunch and dinner). The quality and variety of the offerings were very nice. Parking is available on the street, which is common here, since most of the buildings were constructed before the invention of the automobile. I would definitely recommend this hotel/B&B and would definitely stay here again.

It was very inconvenient to move between houses (our room was not in the main house where reception is), especially since the gate button didn’t work. We had to call reception each time to come with the keys and open it for us. Additionally, the internet was down the entire stay.
