This recently renovated hotel is centrally located, walking distance from anything in Sesto Calende. Big, comfortable and very clean rooms with AC, big windows and anything we needed.

I have expected more for breakfast considering that there is a restaurant within the hotel. Two days in a row there were no brioche (croissants) available. Menu was unclear and it depended on the waiter to explain. Eggs were there, but serving them with some fresh tomatoes or other veggies would improve the experience. Only one option of cornflakes. With a bit more investment into this guest experience would be better.

The staff are exceptional. Maria and Georgiana were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The room was spacious, clean, and serviced every day we were there. The room had air conditioning, which was much appreciated in the summer heat (we visited in August). The hotel is very close to the beautiful lakefront and numerous eating places. A cooked and generous breakfast was also included in our room rate.

There are no facilities for swimming in the lakefront near the hotel (swimming is banned by the local authority for safety reasons) so we had to travel to a lakeside swimming spot, about 15 minutes drive from the hotel.

A charming little hotel right by the river/lake and near several restaurants and terraces.. Our twin room was well equipped with an airco and a fridge, the beds were comfy enough, and the whole place was quiet. The inner court was under renovation, would be nice to come back to see how beautiful it is when ready. The staff members were absolutely super kind and helpful. The amazing, delicious breakfast blew our minds! We had plenty of choice: local cheeses, croissants, eggs, fresh fruit, yoghurt, fruit juice, jams, cereals, coffee, tea... all made to order and served to table with a huge smile. An absolute bliss!

Cannot think of anything. Next time hopefully their restaurant is open too: judging by the breakfast, the restaurant must be well worth a dinner.

The rooms were very clean and the historic building was lovely. We appreciated that while the rooms were renovated and up to date that some of the original walls and features were left visible highlighting the history of the building. The owner was gracious and friendly. We had to check out early for a flight and were offered breakfast which was made the night before and delivered to our room for us to have in the morning.

Our experience was very good - the only thing we noticed the morning we were leaving is that there was no coffee (only tea) in the room. Had we noticed earlier we would have asked.

The staff actually cares about our stay with them. The owner personally showed us to our sweet room and showed us all the amenities. He arranged our bfast time and set up our taxi to go to the airport. The breakfast was prepared for us and was perfect. The location is amazing right on the lake and near so many restaurants. Great getaway!

Due to the heavy rains this year the hotel roof is still being replaced. It takes away from the charm of the place but the staff made up for the inconvenience.

The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff made our stay very enjoyable. They even organised a couple of bikes for us, so we could get to a local business meeting easily. The boutique hotel has a nice traditional Italian feel and great food. The hotel is placed nicely beside the river and not far from the train station.

Albergo del Sole is absolutely beautiful. The rooms are large, comfortable and immaculately clean. The location is unbeatable, the breakfast was more than delicious but what really stands out the most is the owner and his amazing team! They were all friendly, attentive and truly made you feel at home. Highly recommend it!

The staff, particularly Maria, were extremely friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The property was beautiful and well run. We even got offered a free parking space for the night of our stay. The breakfast was great as well! 10/10 and an absolute recommendation for Sesto Calende.

The hotel was undergoing some construction works but it didn’t really matter because the room and staff was so nice and friendly!

The building is old, very interesting, has a good vibe and it is also cold naturally during the summer, the personnel is really helpful and nice and the breakfast it's good. It is close to the river and very central. I lived in Sesto Calende a few years back and I think this was the perfect spot for me to revisit a bit the places I lived in.
