We had a truly wonderful stay at Agritourismo Pian di Fiume. The estate is absolutely beautiful – peaceful, surrounded by nature, and full of rustic charm. The food was delicious, fresh, and locally sourced, making every meal a highlight of our trip. The staff were warm, attentive, and made us feel right at home. A special thank you to Mila, whose kindness and helpfulness had a big impact – she went above and beyond to help us organize our activities and discover the best of the region. Her warm personality truly reflects the heart of this magical place. Highly recommended!

This place is located in a beautiful place. This restored village has a nice story behind it. The staff are wonderful and kind, and Breakfast is great. The river in the valley below is beautiful and offers many activities. the staff will help you arrange some if you want.

The rooms are old and basic. It feels more of a guest house in the Himalaya than a hotel in Tuscany. We liked it, but its not for everybody. The approach uphill with a vehicle (at night, after rain) is a bit challenging...

This was my second visit to this property, and somehow, it managed to top the first. The charming village setting, combined with the incredible staff and absolutely amazing food, made this stay unforgettable. If you have the chance, treat yourself to dinner here—you won’t regret it! If you’re curious about life on a farm or want to experience the taste of truly organic food, this is the perfect place to visit. My only minor downsides: I wasn’t able to connect to the WiFi, and I do wish there had been a television option for a bit of evening relaxation.

This is an exceptionally beautiful and unusual place — a lovingly conserved/restored medieval village on a mountainside above the Lima River, with comfortable and rustically charming apartments and a delicious restaurant, surrounded by nature, operated on principles of environmental sustainability, and staffed with wonderful people! We were upgraded to a larger and very comfortable and homey apartment (grazie, Mila!) and given an excellent introduction by Daniela, who provided maps and some history and suggested things to do in the region. The breakfast buffets were bountiful, and on the last afternoon we joined other guests in a fun pasta-making class led by Daniela. Despite being somewhat remote (in a good way), there's a lot to do. We went on a lovely 8- to 10-km hike up a mountain trail, passing through several other villages; spent an afternoon in Lucca; and on a rainy day drove further into the mountains on winding roads with beautiful views and enjoyed a hearty Tuscan soup in a cozy restaurant in a ski village. We loved our stay here, hope to come back, and would recommend it to anyone who needs a little peace and quiet, the sound of a river, and the tinkling of goat bells.

No complaints! My only suggestion would be to turn off the music/radio in the dining room in the morning — but maybe some people like it. Note that it may not be as quiet on weekends, since the restaurant is open to the public and obviously popular. We stayed from Sunday to Wednesday, and many Sunday-lunch guests were leaving as we arrived. After that, things quieted down considerably.

We've spent 6 nights at Agritourismo Pian di Fiume and wish we could have spent more. This place is a true gem in terms of location, surrounded by mountains and trees. Staff were amazing and always helpful (thank you for doing our laundry:) and food was delicious:) thank you so much

I wasn’t able to connect to the WiFi

Fabulously unique medieval village, feels like your part of a family when staying there and staff treat you like family. Nothing is too much trouble! Peaceful, outstanding views, outstanding staff, outstanding restaurant!!

Absolutely nothing

This is a very quaint and beautiful village, with wonderfully furnished rooms. The buildings may be old but they have all the modern fittings, good heating during winter, and the beds were comfortable. We had an amazing night here and wished we had booked for more days. The hosts Daniela and Massimo were extremely friendly and you can tell they just love this place with all the hard work they have put into it and the way they explained their work and interact with the guests. This place makes their own honey, jams, cheeses and wine. The restaurant is fantastic, and is honestly one of the best meals we had during our trip.

Great location, and Daniela -- the host -- was truly accommodating. The agriturismo is located strategically in the region of Bagni di Lucca/Garfagnana, top locations in North Tuscany. Highly recommended. Great dinners too.

Very nice and rustic place Good food to a very reasonable price!

-Smell of firewood from the kitchen was constant in the apartment -Many people around especially on the weekends (birthday parties etc) so it’s quite noisy -Horses weren’t available during our stay which was sad because that’s what we were looking for most

Such a wonderful place with a great history and engaged people that work there. We all loved it very much. The pool was warm at the beginning of June, the chess playground was a wonderful idea, we ejoyed playing very much. The breakfast was the best we had during our two weeks trip in Italy. The surroundings, animals, nature, views are amazing. It was great that we could have lunch and dinners at the place and not to leave the farm not for a moment. I hope we will come back.
