We enjoyed the rich history and beautiful ambiance of the Hotel. The staff was very accommodating, helpful, and warm. They helped orient us to different places of interest. Francisco (aka Paco) gave us an entertaining and informative tour of the place. We were surprised by the underground portion (and restaurant) of the tour, where we eventually exited on the opposite side of the street. We really enjoyed getting to know the place. Our rooms were well appointed and comfortable. Our room in particular was superb with access to the terrace and its spectacular 180° views of San Luis Potosi from above. This was a great place to relax in the cool evening air to the sounds of the nightlife below at the end of each day. What a GREAT experience!

Great location on the edge of the central area. Easy to walk to all the sites and shopping. Charming old hotel. Server Javier was really kind. He recommended a great meal for me, a specialty of San Luis Potosi. I think he may have prepared it also. Javier served the meal proudly and he insisted on taking photos of me. It was my best meal in Mexico. Everyone was very very nice and helpful.

Hotel was a bit empty.

The hotel is the most beautiful hotel you can imagine. It is literally a museum and a palace in one. The attention to every detail, from the welcome, the whole building, the spacious, beautiful and comfortable room, the friendly staff and the location.

There was nothing not to like.

Breakfast was simple with sweet roll and yogurt and fruit, but tasty. Room was large and comfortable with beautiful antiques. Loved having a coffee machine and robes. Perfect location in old city for walking and felt very safe.

Wish we could get rid of plastic water bottles and have a refill station for water. Its hot there an easy to go through a lot of plastic water bottles.

the hotel was stunning and the room was large, comfortable and the amenities were upscale. There is plenty to see and do just in the hotel. They give tours and our room, The Christina, featured beautiful chandeliers, sconces, and antique furniture. the bathroom was well equipped, plenty of hot water with great water pressure and washcloths. note in Europe and Mexico washcloths are not to be taken for granted. This hotel had quality linen and towels. The location is fantastic, in el centro, yet on one of the more quiet streets. We had complementary Continental breakfast that was sufficient and satisfying and the service was superb.

The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a very good location downtown and it's a beautiful architecture. The shower is very good. The decoration is very beautiful. The amenities are good qualities.

I need to walk up stairs and then downstairs to my room but it's a classical building so it's still acceptable.

This place is fantastic! It truly IS a museum. The room was large and stunningly beautiful, with antique furnishings, highest quality linens, and the most comfortable bed imaginable.

Having to leave!

We were charged about $7 US each for our “included” breakfast, because we had eggs, which we thought were included gratis. Probably our fault because we didn’t completely understand our taciturn server who spoke in very rapid Spanish. We went to a nearby restaurant the next morning and enjoyed a full breakfast for about the same cost.

The decor, the comfortable beds, the nespresso in your room and they welcome you with a refreshing drink at your arrival. A free tour around the property was included with the stay.

You could hear the cars passing early in the morning.

Excellent location and customer service is awesome we are very satisfied with the room that they assigned to us it was spacious clean and comfortable.

To be honest everything was excellent.
