Location excellent. On a pedestrian street so very quiet even though downtown. Lovely, helpful staff. Great breakfast. Comfy beds and linens.
Worn furnishings. Peeling paint. Chipped bathroom sink (room 30). Because it’s in a pedestrian street, there’s no parking at the hotel so we followed their good directions and found public parking 2 blocks away but it was no fun to drag our suitcases 2 blocks in the rain! There’s a steep flight of steps from the street up to Reception. This was no problem for us but others should be aware of this just in case.

Room was large and lovely. Located right on the main shopping street. Be aware it’s not the best place if you have a car but great if you don’t. Staff was great. Has a nice breakfast. As usual, no top sheet (something as an American I just don’t get). Recommend if you want to spend a day or two in downtown Ostersund.
I have a suggestion: get the local high school or college art program to decorate/paint the front stairs. And update the stairs. We almost walked out when we walked in.. dingy and looks like a sleezebag hotel. It is not a sleezebag hotel but the first view is not good.

The room was very spacious with lovely high ceilings and a very comfortable bed with soft bedding. The breakfast was absolutely out of this world, amazing attention to detail with such a wide selection available and impressive ingredients. I particularly liked the fruit juice 'shot' with the beautiful ginger flavour - a great way to wake up and start the day! Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back soon!
All was great at Hotel Emma.

An incredibly practical and guest-friendly hotel - I was on a long road trip and Emma had everything I needed to re-boot - including a freezer compartment in the room fridge for my picnic bag ice packs! Lovely genuine old school atmosphere - no hyped up decor - simply large, airy and comfortable rooms and wonderful breakfast buffet. Thank you 🫶🏼
Nothing.

Really big room in a very nice and cosy hotel. Well located in one of the main streets, close to a lot of restaurants. Easy to find some cheap parking spots around for our car.
Breakfast could have proposed some more meat options and the music was too loud. In the bathroom, the shower's curtain was not practical and it was easy to have water flooding everywhere. Hairdryer badly located and not easy to access.

The hotel is homely and quaint with a really friendly atmosphere. The staff was absolutely delightful and the access to free drinks/snacks at reception all day is a really nice touch that goes a long way.
The sounds from the hallway are rather audible and it can be a bit bright if your room faces the streetfront.

This is my perfect hotel - it is small, centrally located with a friendly and helpful staff. Because it is in old building our room had character. It was spacious, spotlessly clean and with a comfortable bed, Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of choices. The cheese platter and sandwiches which we purchased for onward travel were generous and beautifully packed for us.

Wonderful staff and cosy room. Excellent breakfast with local food. Never had so much to choose from. The hotel is small and very personal. The manager is always available and you can ask anything. One of the best places this year!

The breakfast is fantastic, the hotel is located right in the city centre with easy access everywhere, the staff are super friendly. Would definitely stay again.
The beds and particularly the pillows were not very comfortable. It would have been nice with a different sized pillows to choose from.
