You are in a perfect location and the room is equipped with a little kitchenette (microwave, small refrigerator). Not luxury! But 100% cozy. I’m an expat from America and would recommend this vs any Best Western or Clarion hotel that cost more. There is no AC in ANY hotel room in this part of Sweden. So don’t think an expensive hotel down the street will have air conditioners. The owner gave me a fan and my room is completely comfortable! This hotel is a great hidden gem! There is an ICA (grocery store) only a few minutes walk. Tons of restaurants and shopping literally outside the front door. I highly recommend this place!

It was an impressive value and a centrally located hotel in, old town. Check-in was unmanned, exceptional, and smooth. Rooms are big, spacious, and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. If you are a party guy - the location is just as central as it gets, old town, many restaurants and cafes.

It was hot outside, 32ºC, and the room doesn't have any AC or forced ventilation - so we had to keep the windows open. It's a central location, so it was super noisy until deep at night and early morning. Our sleep and recovery was so so, honestly. The second thing we didn't like was using cutlery or cups – you had to wash them first, and this was extremely dirty. The room was shiny and clean, though. Car Parking close to the hotel - was quite challenging, hence it's a central location.

During our recent family ski vacation through Sweden and Norway, we found ourselves in Östersund for just one night, and chose to stay at Hotell Zäta Longstay. Our trip was quite the adventure—we changed locations every day, so convenience and comfort were very important to us. Hotell Zäta turned out to be a wonderful choice. Arriving in Östersund, we were immediately pleased with the hotel’s central location. It’s right in the heart of the city, making it easy to explore the surroundings and find everything we needed within walking distance. The self check-in process was straightforward and efficient, which was a relief after a long day of travel with our two children. We received clear instructions before our arrival, and within minutes we were settled in our room. The hotel offers underground parking, which was especially appreciated. Being able to park our car in a warm, secure garage and take the elevator directly to our floor made things much easier. Our room was on the smaller side, but it was cozy and thoughtfully arranged and with a big bathroom, with everything we needed for a comfortable night. What made our stay even better was the well-equipped common kitchen on our floor. Although we never met any staff in person due to the self-service concept, we were truly impressed by their dedication and honesty. After we checked out and continued our journey, after some days my husband realized he had left his AirPods somewhere on the trip. Not long after that the hotel contacted us and let us know they had found them, and then arranged to send them all the way to our home in Sofia. This thoughtful gesture really made a difference and left us with a very positive impression.

Having stayed in the hotel 6 years previously when it was OK but nothing special, the transformation into its current studio / room format has been a success. Not a traditional hotel as there are no meals provided but a well equipped communal kitchen and a microwave / fridge in your room means that you can easily look after yourself. Bedding and towels were changed regularly. Its location is superb, right on the pedestrianised shopping street which did not get noisy, even at night and there are supermarkets nearby to help you self-cater. It was incredibly good value - less than £50 per night for a single room - compared to other bed and breakfast prices in regular hotels. The place was well looked after and the room was spotless when I arrived. A laundry room with an iron etc was an added bonus. Initial access to the hotel when unstaffed was by way of codes provided and then a simple plastic card controlled your access after that.

Very little - the bedroom doors were on strong springs and could catch you unawares so that they banged quite loudly if not controlled.

When we arrived, an envelope with our name on it and room card was waiting for us at the reception, and love that, because we were extremely tired after a long roadtrip. - Hot water - Very clean linen and towels - A lot of lights and every single one was adjustable (wow!!) - A small kitchen inside the room (with microwave and kettle) and a bigger one (fully equipped) outside the room for the entire hotel - A room equipped with washing machine and iron for everyone who is staying longer (it was not our case) - A vending machine with a lot of food and sweets plus a coffee machine (for 18 SEK it was a correct latte) - Very close to Coop store and you can buy good food from there and you can cook or heat at the hotel - very comfy bed and you feel like you were flying over a cloud - located exactly in the city center

- no free parking, but we were lucky and found a nice spot not far away from the hotel and it was free because we arrived Saturday at 4 PM (from Monday to Friday 9-18 and Saturday 9-15 you have to pay for parking per hour)

It was like a home away from home.

At first it seemed that we were all alone on auto pilot. However, whenever I called or emailed I hot what I needed right away. The front door opens automatically when you scan card in, but it stays open too long. It should close shut faster after guests enter. Perhaps crime is not a problem in Sweden.

This was our second time returning to this hotel and even though we liked it the first time around, this time we booked a larger room since it was available and it was perfect. There's no doubt that we will always book Zäta Longstay when we visit Östersund: the location and rooms are fantastic, it's clean and quiet, there's kitchen with everything you need and the rooms are also stocked with micro and fridge.

The room was perfect. Comfortable, lots of place, inside there was everything we needed. We came around 11 PM and it wasn't any problem to check-in. The hotel was very easy to spot from the street and basically impossible to miss. It was a great hub too, as there were many fun places around. The stuff was very nice and helpful. Highly recommended place.

We're always staying in this hotel when in Östersund - it's the perfect place for us and our needs, the staff are very helpful and friendly, and the location is perfect. There is everything you may need, from the kitchen with all the amenities, to coffee machine and other self-catering facilities. Recommended!

Excellent location in Centre, comfortable room with fridge, microwave, TV. Access to well-equipped kitchen and laundry room. Helpful staff. Smokers’ balcony. Quiet.

Double-bed was narrow. Not a lot of space for storing clothes.
