The staff, the room, the food, the welcome. Lovely experience and all of the staff were warm and accommodating. Happy to help and talk at any time while still able to keep on top of an (extremely) busy restaurant. The food was delicious both at breakfast and dinner time and I fully intend to attempt to return (when I can bring all of my family the next time). Thank you to all of the lovely staff who made my stay such a wonderful experience.

Very little to complain about. The wifi signal in the bedroom wasn't great but it wasn't a major issue and just meant I had to sit in the bathroom or the public areas to talk with my family overseas

hiking the John O'Groats trail. Hotel is not right downtown so I shopped downtown then hiked out to the hotel (10 min). Great atmosphere I arrived and there were many people in the restaurant/bar having a great time. Staff friendly but a little disorganized, I ordered a beer and had to re-ask for it. Good nice clean room.

I had a burger that could have been better and a shrimp cocktail with the smallest shrimp ever, thousand island dressing

We ate at the onsite restaurant and the food was fabulous. We couldn't have asked for better service. We requested a breakfast bag since we had to leave early. We were very pleased with the meal. Thank you very much.We also hiked the local trail to the falls which we really enjoyed.

Since we were leaving early, we took showers after dinner. The water was COLD! I even let the water run for a while which didn't help.

This is an historic inn. They have done a good job modernizing where possible (historical regulations must be obeyed) and I appreciate the amenities. WiFi is available, meals can be obtained on site, the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, and the food is good. My room was very clean with an impressive bathroom and a big bed. Even with a late check-in I was helped to my room and shown how to find light switches and everything I needed. The morning staff was even friendlier and helped me find my way around accomplishing my day's agenda.I will do my best to return.

There is some highway noise if your room is on the southeast side of the inn. Being an American I have to remind myself that microwaves and mini fridges in the room are not a required part of lodging. Apparently folding luggage stands are also not universal.

The staff were extremely friendly and they loved our toy poodle she was allowed in all areas of the hotel. The staff were very helpful with advice on places to visit as well as where the large supermarkets were.

There wasn’t a hairdryer in the room however I didn’t ask if one was available either.lovely

Not much. Everything I rate in a hotel worked. Clean bathroom, clean and comfortable bed linen, warm staff and tasty food. Some spaces more modern than others.

Beautiful property with an interesting history. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was superb. Dinner in the evening was very good, freshest ingredients and lovely taste that showcased the areas food. We would definitely stay again. Thanks Nick for making our stay really special.

The room was comfortable and very quiet. The staff were amazing. breakfast was lovely and the dinner were really good too. Wanted to book another night buy they were full. Will stay there again when working up this way.

Not much to not like.

Overall a nice place to stay. Some of the hotel was a little dated but the rooms looked to recently refurbished and were a good standard. There’s an onsite bar/restaurant which served good food. Staff were helpful and friendly. Nice cooked breakfast available.

Nice rooms.

Location is great for my work purposes of coming in to the area and I have stayed before. The breakfast was very good with friendly service.

The wifi signal strength could have been better in my room, maybe they need to look at a booster to increase this strength.
