Location was great with parking. Place is clean and comfy and our room had a new ensuite which we weren't expecting so it was a nice surprise. There's a kitchen available which I can see being handy for people and the outdoor space looks lovely, which I can imagine is great when the sun is out. The host was friendly as well. We stayed in for food which was good, with the restaurant having a lovely atmosphere. All in all, room are basic but for the price, it's a bargain and we'd recommend.

It was an excellent choice we made here. This is of course an Inn and not a 5 Star Hotel, but the owner (namens Alison) is not only one of the funniest storytellers I have ever met and a great Cook (you have to try her Pizza !!), but has been of extraordinary help in a very unfortunate situation. The rooms were very tidy & clean. Same for bathroom and kitchen. Beds very comfortable. Difficult to get Internet or access to phone, but that was one of the things we had trouble with in the area overall. To note: we slept above the pub, but as of ~10 or 11 pm no noises to be heard anymore. Thus all good.

The beds were super comfortamble and the sheets smelled great. The shared bathroom was spacious and had a good shower too. Lockbock usage for the key was simple and communicating with the staff via messages was very easy.

The restaurant wasn't open during our stay. Would have liked the ease of popping down there, but Helmsdale is small so heading out to another shop was no trouble. Being next to a main road it can be louder early in the morning when traffic starts up again if you're sleeping with the window open.

The bed was comfy. Well equipped shared kitchen which was very clean and tidy which I used to prepare a microwave curry. It had some basics, tea, coffee, cereal. Just needed to ask for milk if needed. Cleaned up behind me. Also shared shower room but again very clean and tidy plenty of hot water. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs. Pint of leading brand lager was only £3.85 a pint! Even though the room overlooked the main road through the village and a bar downstairs, the room was relatively quiet.

There are outside metal staircase to the rooms that could prove difficult for some guests. Luckily it wasn't raining. Couldn't get the tv to work. Doesn't appear to be any aerial or box to relay pictures.

The beds were SO comfortable and we got a great night's sleep - the bedding was really soft and felt luxurious and high quality. The room felt really cosy. There was everything we needed in the room, and the shared kitchen was really well equipped. The bathroom was really clean and the shower had great water pressure. The staff were really friendly. We really enjoyed our stay here. Parking was great with designated spots for each room.

Friendly and welcoming owner-run Inn. Good clean rooms, nice size. Plenty space for the 3 of us. Restaurant was good. Nice choice of food, catering for kids, vege etc. Area is lovely. We walked down to the river, and thru the town.

The Inn is right on the main road. Although convenient, the lorries etc can be heard all night.

On the A9 which we were using to travel to John O'groats so no diversion.nesesary a nice little harbour to walk round after a long drive in the evening. .A comfortable bed.. a kitchen along the corridors with fridge toaster and cooker. If needed a washing machine which you could pay to use. Cionvient if on a long trip.

Rooms reached by a steep metal stairs at back of property.. not good if you have health problem like myself. Parking opposite the accommodation which meant crossing A9.

In general very nice. We ate at the resaturant, and the food was Home made and delicious. The cook/owner ( didn't catch her name) was really friendly as was the waitress.

Was a bit loud in the bar below, but I was so tired i fell asleep immediately.

Cheap and practical. Great for stop off for ferry. Was only there from 11pm to 7am. Good shared bathroom and seemed a good sized clean kitchen. Excellent communication from very helpful owner
