Room was a small double, but had all tthe necessary tea, coffee facilities etc. so was well appointed. Bathroom was well appointed with soap, shampoo etc. Food was well prepared and cooked at dinner, may be slightly highly priced, personal opinion. Breakvfast was included in the room rate and was help yourself continental buffet with cooked breakfast to order. Cooked breafast options were good and cooke to perfection. Best poached eggs I ahve had in a long time.

Not really anything springs to mind.

Good range of options for breakfast and evening meal. As we were travelling with dogs, we ate at a table provided in the bar area rather than restaurant but this was to our advantage. This was reserved throughout our stay. Room was large and well equipped. This is a Victorian building with plenty of character. Yes some areas are showing their age, but this added to the character of the property. All areas were spotlessly clean. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and really make this hotel. The location is easy to find from the A9 and short walk into the town.

The additional charge of £20 per dog per night was quite steep and added at lot to the end total. However they were made very welcome.

We liked that the hotel was close to our families homes as we were visiting for my grandfather's funeral. Staff were lovely and couldn't do enough. Loved the vintage feel of the hotel. We used to visit Tain frequently over the years, not so much in recent years. Was very nostalgic as we would often come to the Morangie for family dinners when we came to visit.

We were staying for 2 nights, our room wasn't made up at all during that time, however family, who were next door, had their room made up. One of the rooms had clearly had an upgrade compared to the other. We had 2 twin rooms. The room I was in with one family member didn't have a head board and we kept hitting our heads in the picture above the bed when sitting up. The bathroom was also very dated and the shower could do with being upgraded. Beds weren't very comfortable but did us for the two nights and what we needed.

I am a returning traveler here and find it good value for money, character property, there is food available in the bar and restaurant and they are dog friendly, easy to walk into town and just off the NC500

They have not dog waste bins available on the entrance side of the property and to go round the back to the service bins means crossing a busy road with dog in the dark! I have spoken to them about this before.

Beautiful old building with updated plumbing and bathrooms. Great location less than a mile from the railway station. Beautiful view of the Firth from our window. A nice mile walk to Glenmorangie Distillery where we were doing research on restoring oyster beds in the Firth. We found the staff delightful!

A bit expensive, but we had great meals and a great stay.

Being off-season we got a great deal on the room. Also, the evening meal was half price - also a special deal. The room was large, bed was OK, though perhaps coming to the end of its life. Water was hot and there was a bath - very welcome after a long walk. Staff were friednly. Food was very good - but could have had more options for vegetarians/vegans. Would I stay here again? Yes.

The hotel is a few hundred metres out of town.

From booking hotel communication from hotel was good asking us if we wanted to book a table for dinner and letting us know up front how much for our dog staying. Check in was smooth and our room was comfortable and cozy, the bed was first class quality had a great sleep. Our dining experience was top notch starters and main was very tasty and well presented, I had dinner there over 30 years ago and still remember how good it was, well done Morangie hotel and all the staff for keeping up the standard. Cooked breakfast was great with butchers produce cooked perfect. They also had a good selection of pizzas with unusual toppings I would like to try I will be back to try one. Check out was smooth.

Loveliest place I'd stayed in a long time, opened the door to the beautiful room & said WOW! Nice amenities. Staff extremely professional & friendly, accepting of my Service Dog. Close to a grocery & walks to lovely sunset views. Would stop again!

One of the Seven Dwarves statues was stolen some years ago from the Snow White arrangement!! No real butter at the breakfast.

Very good breakfast. Easy parking, and easy access off the Tain bypass (A9). Make sure your satnav doesn't send you round the back of the hotel - it is the second right turn, not the first. Lovely large room, but warm and cosy, despite the weather being very cold. Decent sized ensuite bathroom. Would stay here again.

We were a bit disappointed that the whole pizza menu wasn't available in the evening, but the meal we did have there one of the evenings we stayed was excellent.
