Wonderful place, wonderful location. You need lots of adjectives to describe this place, so here goes! The lawn in front of the hotel is impressive, the terrace in front is stylish, and then the marvelous lobby, the splendid restaurant, the outstanding bar, wow! Andf then we hadn't even seen the absolutely stunning billiards room, so lush and so incredibly stylish, wow! The staff were accomodating, the à la carte breakfast was great (it took some time to prepare). The environment walking though the golf course to the sea, this was a great experience from A to Z. Recommended!

The rooms could have been slightly bigger or more modern, but who's complaining?

Great location. Staff listened to our requests.

There were several things. We had to move rooms because door key did not work. After 4 requests for staff to open our door, we were moved to a better room at no extra charge. In that room, the bed light never worked and the fridge was broken. Breakfast was slow and baked croissants were only arriving 2 at a time out of the oven. It was like they were worried about wasting food. Not sure waiters and waitresses were happy at their work. They were a little disorganised and pretty glum!

The general decor of the hotel was impressive in both public spaces and the room. The staff were very pleasant and attentive. While limited in choice (again perhaps due to off season) breakfast was very tasty and enjoyable.

In their defence it was out of season, but the restaurant was closed and dinner was served in the bar area which was a little disappointing. Our room in a fairly empty hotel was on the 3rd floor and the elevator was out of order. It would have been appropriate to move us to a lower room, but no staff seemed to notice this simple solution.

Beautiful building with attentive staff and lavish decor, great situation near the beach and golf if that’s your thing! Fabulous beach. Lovely toiletries and elegant glass urn with delicious iced tea for guests as they enter. Huge pool table in an impressive games room complete with a number of deer gazing down from their lofty position on the walls! A lovely bottle of complementary Prosecco was a nice surprise after the room mixup as well as providing an additional room at no cost- very much appreciated!

Slight mixup about the room on arrival quickly rectified after some discussion with the manager. Beds a little bit soft but everyone is different. The hairdryers had a button you have to press down as well as the usual switches which is pretty awkward- maybe bring your own.

From the first moment we arrived and checked in at reception from Gabriel, he was very welcoming and knowledgeable and responded to our needs, throughout our stay, all staff were on par, but Gabriel more memorable...what a wonderful twismiss break we had at the Dornoch Station hotel, this is the third Marine & Lawn we have visted, russacks and Troon all excellent and all j would recommend 👌

Nothing at all to moan about at all brilliant stay hope to return soon but most definitely in one of these g roup of Scottish ho tels, Ireland 🇮🇪 ............. ....

Stunning hotel in a great location. My room was amazing and very comfortable. The recent renovations have been carried out to a very high standard. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Absolutely nothing!

Lovely redevelopment. Still work to be done especially to the rear of the property where we looked onto (I suspect there was a need to have the hotel opened for the summer months to recoup some costs). It didn’t detract from our experience. Outer stairwells and fencing around the hotel are old and rusted and still work in progress. Lots of garden ground not yet landscaped. Lovely putting green (artificial grass- but very good quality)- this needs swept every day because of the bird poo that is on it. It will be interesting to return next year to see if further work has been carried out. It’s not yet on a par with sister hotels in St Andrews and North Berwick (I’ve stayed in both). That said, the rooms were lovely , beautiful bathroom and comfortable beds with crisp white linen. Breakfasts were great, lovely fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals, pastries, smoked salmon plus other hot options served in a lovely, bright dining room. . Communal lounge areas done really well, superb billiard table and relaxed bar area. Super dog friendly hotel too and kind and attentive staff. Will definitely return and thoroughly recommend.

It’s a lovely property - great location. Just not fully completed yet - but once finished I’m sure it will be beautiful.

We were treated SO well at this exquisite property! We stayed at several hotels in Scotland and this was our favorite. At check-in, Gabriel was super accommodating and warm. We walked to the beach, then to the Royal Donoch golf course, and on into town. But we dined back at our hotel because the restaurant was so pretty. We LOVED the Skink Fish Chowder and Salmon with chorizo Orzo. Sticky toffee pudding was decadent! Our room had a fabulous view and the decor was exquisite. Bathroom was large, with great pressure and lots of HOT water. The robes/slippers were high quality. Super clean. Breakfast the next morning was unbelievable: they offered a generous buffet PLUS menu options like eggs benedict. The dining room has elegant furnishings, great views and ultra-high ceilings. I worked it off in the exercise room which had ALL of the options: Pelaton machines, treadmills, free weights and stationary machines! That was also very clean and stocked with bottles of sparkling water and clean towels. We even golfed on their putting green with clubs they loaned us. (The elevator worked great. I saw some reviews saying it didn't but it was in perfect order during our entire weekend.)

The putting green had some bird poop on it, but they cleaned it as soon as we asked them to. This place is nearly perfect.

The Hotel is beautiful, from the gorgeous entrance to all the lovely cosy lounges, the dining room, the bar, the beautiful rooms, but it’s the staff who make it. Special shoutout to Stephen for his wonderful welcome, special thoughtful touches and his generosity, he made our stay so special. The lady at breakfast who welcomes you with a smile each morning, the local lads who wait table, the fantastic barman, all contributed to the most relaxing and restful stay. The proximity to the golf course and beach is wonderful. Stay here, you’ll feel special!

breakfast was good but service bit lacking in that the two young lads at the breakfast reception desk were far more interested in having a chat than attending the needs of guests!! I had to stand up and call for attention!! After waiting 10 mins to catch their eye to no avail!!
