The pub was fantastic, the staff there were very welcoming. We enjoyed a great meal on the night we stayed, portions were excellent. I had lasagne, which was wonderful and homemade. My wife had fish and chips, the haddock was well battered. Overall a very nice meal. We stayed in the little cottage adjacent to the pub. We were given a continental breakfast in the morning which was nice. Pricewise it was reasonable.

The room was a little cold, which we can cope with but others may find less pleasant. The bed was not particularly comfortable and could do with mattress and pillows being replaced. The shower is a bit weak but does run consistently hot. None of these things were that bad for a one night stay.

A fantastic stay but I would like to start with how fantastic the staff where ....Supper friendly, really helpful all with smiles on there faces even though you could see they where run off there feet/ultra busy....... First impressions and all and they where all a real credit to the place.... Lots o car parking space, Good Wifi, Clean room with every thing you need and a GOOD heater. The food was fantastic supper tasty with nice big portion sizes just what I needed after a day cycling mountains. Beer I would say was standard current price for a Strong beer £6 a pnt

NOT a moan as it was fine ....Just a idea......Breakfast Im not a continental fan ....Not that there was any thing wrong with it and it was nice it was delivered to the room the night before so you could leave real early if you wanted to .......I just prefer a cooked breakfast when away and with how night the food was for dinner the night before Im sure it would be really nice ....

The pub is right beside the A9, so was a good place to break the journey up to Orkney. The staff were friendly and check in was easy. The pub restaurant had a selection of vegetarian options. The bed seemed quite new and was comfortable.

I was in the cottage in the car park, which looked cute from a distance, but is in need of renovation and updating. The windows were small, the main lighting wasn't great, and the bedside light was faulty and rapidly flickered on and off, so it wasn't possible to read in the room. I wasn't that keen on the continental breakfast, as I don't eat cereal or yoghurt, and only sachets of decaf coffee were available in the room.

Food in restaurant was really good as was portion size. Choice was great too. Staff very helpful. Breakfast hamper was a lovely idea and very well filled .

Unfortunately I wrote to say I was gluten free and was assured I would be catered for when the breakfast hamper was mentioned. I also checked when we were shown the room, but alas whilst there was fresh fruit and yoghurt, there was no nice croissant for me😭 Single bed in family room needed a better mattress. It was a hot night with window open, so there was some A9 road noise and the odd train to be heard in the distance too. It wouldn't stop us visiting again though.TV has a permanent line right down the middle and one of the bedside lights needs an extension cable cus there was nowhere to plug it in.

We checked in very late due to problems on the motorways and the staff were very accommodating and left the key for us on arrival. Breakfast was a generous continental tray left outside our room ~7.15am

Although coffee, tea etc were provided there was no kettle so could not get a hot drink when we arrived or for breakfast. The Inn is not occupied after the restaurant closes so we never met anyone, on arrival or on leaving and it did not seem as if there was anyone else there so we were somewhat isolated!

Breakfast was not worth the cost of accommodation. In a bag, very limited, sub standard food provided, for example no cereal, not up to continental breakfast standard. Accommodation provided was unique and enjoyable. Let down badly by breakfast.

For the price of accommodation breakfast provided was disappointing. Pay the staff to provide the option of a cooked breakfast.

The staff deserve a mention. They were excellent, nothing too much trouble. The food was outstanding. Best mac and cheese I've had in a long time. This is the second time I've stayed here, so that speaks for itself.

It was fine for me but if you like the window open at night you'll get road noise till 10.30/11 at night I don't know how much closing the window cuts the noise because I never closed the window.

Right next to the main road but was quiet at night. The hotel catered for vegan breakfast (with prior warning) so that was greatly appreciated. Breakfast is delivered to the door in a basket, so no hot options. Could have done with real coffee in a cafetiere or similar as the instant in the room was, well, instant coffee! For the price, really can't fault it Also ate there in the evening

We stayed for a week and it is a Lovely setting, food is excellent, room bit dated but comfy I would recommend and would stay here again without question as staff are friendly and welcoming.

Not much to dislike to be honest, like I said room a bit dated BUT comfy shower bit temperamental but can live with it

Room was clean and cosy. Bed was comfy and facilities in room were all that was needed. Staff were exceptional and the food at the Inn was amazing. Very large portions!!!

Only down side was the electric shower. It was very low water pressure and not the warmest.
