Easy to get to from the A9, with free onsite parking, and a 10 minute walk into town to get an evening meal. Check in was really easy and the room was really large and nicely furnished, with a large four poster bed that was really comfortable - I slept really well. The TV also worked properly - reception is generally far worse in the Highlands! The bathroom was modern and very clean, with a powerful shower. The continental breakfast had lots of variety and set me up for my journey south. I have stayed at several places in Tain and Springfield is by far the best. Would definitely stay here again

We got a little lost but a telephone call to the very helpful host soon had us the guest house. Parking was easy and my wife loved our room which was just across the hall from the breakfast room. We had a pleasant walk into Tain and had dinner in the Station Restaurant which was bustling and the service & food were excellent. Again, my wife thought the bed so comfortable and she enquired as to its make during breakfast. Looks like I am spending more money! Breakfast was good and made more pleasant by the lady looking after us all

We had a delightful stay at the Guest house and would heartily recommend it to others who wish to explore the area. We couldnt fault our stay at all

Well located on the main road in Tain. Parking was available in front of the house but was slightly tight. Our room was on the first floor and was spacious and well presented. The bed was very comfortable and tea/coffee facilities were provided. The ensuite was large with an excellent shower. The entire house was clean and well furnished. Breakfast was a cold buffet style with plenty of choices and Jackie, who was excellent, was on hand to provide any help needed.

The TV controls in our room were not working correctly and we could not switch the TV off. I eventually set a 'sleep timer' for 30 minutes and it switched off at that time. I mentioned this at breakfast and this fault was known and was believed to have been repaired.

Huge rooms, and very comfortable. More than adequate breakfast, a great choice of food and drinks. Close to great places to eat evening meals.

One very small thing. As I need glasses to read, I could not see the instructions on the shower in the morning so it was a bit of a task to get the flow and heat I wanted, but I got there in the end. Yes I could have read the instruction before getting in the shower so partly my fault. Perhaps find a way to have instructions in large letters inside the shower for future guests.

The property was stunning, however there was no one to greet you on arrival. The key for the room was left on a dresser by the door as you arrived with your name next to it. The room was beautiful and spotlessly clean, although the room was too hot as the heating was on. The location is on the outskirts of town so you really need to use your car to get to a nearby restaurant. The breakfast was continental and it had everything from fresh berries, fruit, porridge, bread and pastries. There was plenty to fill you up. We spoke briefly with the housekeeper on the morning of departure but again no one to bid you a farewell. Otherwise a perfect property and well worth the money. Would recommend…

No personal touch on arrival or departure.

It is in a great location that requires a short walk to get to the town centre and it isn't too far away from Tesco or the station. The room was very clean and well-maintained by the staff who made me feel welcome when I left or arrived to go into town. You will only ever see the staff from breakfast till around 1400 ish where they clean the rooms. For the rest of the time, there won't be anyone around and a WhatsApp number is provided in case you need assistance.

For me, the only downside was relating to noise. This is for the bedroom door locks that managed to wake me when other guests either returned late or left early. The other is the sound of the bathroom sink taps that can be heard when others use them.

Really enjoyed my stay and would definitely stay again, clean room , comfy bed , good up to date decor, nice biscuits with hot beverages. Very nice friendly staff and helpful.

I would say maybe more selection at continental breakfast , I didn’t think it matched the good standard of accomodation , suggest a trip along the road to get fresh croissants and some danish pastry’s might be an idea

There was a wide choice of continental breakfast with ample fresh fruit etc. No one could complain about the choice and quality . The rooms were excellently appointed and all had free WiFi. We had never stayed on a Guest House before ( always hotels or self catering) and were unexpectedly surprised by the convenience and vfm . If we are in this area again , which we hope to be, we will definitely try to stay here again . Apart from the accommodation it is so excellently situated for touting Northern Scotland .

Nothing we can think of

The room was clean and comfortable. The housekeepers were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble, and they really went the extra mile. The continental breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. Would love to stay again!

Not so much a negative as it didn't really impact us, but the parking can be a little tight out front. Guests with larger vehicles may find this an issue. There are two spots that are straight ahead at the end of the driveway, which would be much easier for larger vehicles.

Good location, very comfortable room, lovely backyard garden. Nice cosy breakfast room with fine food.. Everything was self served including check in. Beds were extremely comfy.

Only thing we were missing was few more of various breakfast items, e.g. pancakes ( there were only 2 and we were 6 ppl:))) natural oat was only 1 portion of, etc.. otherwise it was really lovely!
