Perfect location if solo traveling, literally 1 minute walk to the Monastery entrance and tourist information point, the staff was super helpful and kind, giving loads of information. In the old town center, with shops, a pharmacy next to it, restaurants, bars… Parking area also nearby (payed “blue zone” in the streets), and the option that the staff gave of a parking next to the hotel with some sort of discount if you book in advance a spot. The cafeteria in the hotel ground floor is a must, a very beautiful spot with many different options. There is also a restaurant but I didn’t try it.

I found a couple of dead bugs and bits in the bathtub right after they cleaned it and the room was ready for check in but other than that, the room was excellent.

The room was excellent, with a nice view of the monastery. The location in the city was great, next to the "core" of the village, close to nice restaurants and cafes. There is a nice restaurant in the fisrt floor, where you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner, and it is a very nice place to spend some time reading, studying or talking to friends. The room was very comfortable and clean. It exceeded my expectations! Surely, one of the best hotels at El Escorial.

This was a most beautiful hotel in a lovely area. It is right next door to the Royal Site of San Lorenzo. It is close to parking if required which is very conveniently located a short distance away. The rooms were comfortable, beds were comfortable, pillows were good. The shower was great. Breakfast was included in our tariff and was served in the cafe area and was as expected for a European continental breakfast. We visited in mid September which was only just past peak season but the hotel restaurant was already closed for the season. We would definitely stay here again given the opportunity.

We spent one night here and the location could not have been better. This charming hotel is situated just a few steps from the town square and faces the Royal Monastery which is also just a short walk away, across the street. There are many bars and restaurants to choose from in the surrounding streets and discounted parking is available just 100 metres away. Our room looked over a side street but was still perfect for a one night stop over. It was well appointed, clean and very quiet when the windows were closed. We did not take the optional breakfast so cannot comment on this. We would definitely stay here again.

Miranda & Suizo Swiso has an almost unbeatable location at El Escorial. It's steps away from the Monastery and Very close to El Escorial Palace and the Town Square which you should defenitely not miss! The rooms were spacious, lush and clean. I was treated to an upgrade when I arrived and staff did their very best to accommodate my needs. Reception has all the maps and info you may need to make to really enjoy your visit. I'd say El Escorial is not to be missed, if you can stay at M&S, you won't regret it. If you need silence at night, ask for a quiet room when you book. After a complicated stay in Madrid, as almost all places were booked and the hostel /pension sector was asking for ridicoulous prices for tiny rooms with single beds and no AC for over 100 - 200 €, in which you can face quite a lot of informality and exploitation, Miranda & and Swiso allows you to have the experience of a great hotel, polite staff and great service at accesible and even bargain prices. I really respect a place that gives budget travel lovers access to what a good traditional hotel can give to it's passengers. As in, it really makes a difference when you see what good old style hospitality is, and which you won't find in many places in Madrid! The hotel itself is well worth a visit to El Escorial!

The hotel's café is cute but rather overpriced and poorly served. The waiters were not very nice and you had to chase them for service. Not the best croissants either, as Spain spoils you with its pastries. In any case if you don't want to have breakfast at the hotel, this shouldn't be a problem.

This place has been so good. The basics were all in order; everything you need is there, it’s clean, the bed is very comfortable, it’s quiet and at the same time at a top location! You cannot be in a better location when you visit San Lorenzo. Even more important: the feeling and the staff. They are so nice; professional and warm. Since I travel alone, hotels can feel lonely because they lack soul. But this hotel one certainly has a soul, it feels like home. They helped me with all of my silly questions. I ended up staying even longer than I planned for. Definitely will be back here some day!

The hotel is right in the center of town. Many of the sights, restaurants, and shops are within a few steps to a few blocks. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to ensure I had a pleasant stay.

The cafeteria food was disappointing. And my particular room, although lovely, was over the delivery area, so trucks started unloading right under my window starting around 5:00 a.m.

Staff was lovely, professional looking and helpful. They upgraded our room and got us the suit for the same price, on top of that they included breakfast for free. Location is really good, plenty of places to have tapas around and walking distance from important landmarks. The room was very clean and had an antique look, very well looked after, every detail was perfect. Very comfortable bed and quiet night. I could not ask for anything better.

Great location. The room and facilities were a bit old but it felt like staying in a historic hotel. It was very clean. Great ac.

The hot water took a while to get going in the morning and the WiFi was a bit spotty.

Excellent location, 300 m from El Escorial doors. The room was very clean, with a balcony looking at El Escorial towers. Included breakfast was good.
