The charm of this little Inn was through and through. The staff was lovely. We woke to the smell of croissants baking every morning. We felt like we stepped back in time to the 1920's. Soft music and a slower pace with exceptional decorating, soft linens and an at home feel. The location was also a plus. We planned a dinner with friends and had wine & d'oeuvres on the deck followed by pizza & salad in the formal dining room.

adorable place! our room was very clean and although small it was very well set up. Bed was very comfortable and normally a continental breakfast is meh but this one was great and we took advantage of it every day. The staff was helpful and friendly. While they do warn you about stairs, they are not bad (trust me - we've had MUCH worse stairs experiences!) - location is great - close enough to the heart of everything - has a pharmacy right across the street and several restaurants within minutes.

we stayed in room 3 (if that matters) and it was very warm. I am someone that is always cold - it was in the 20s outside most days and we consistently had the window open and a fan on. Those two things made it comfortable but definitely something to be aware of. This is probably listed and I missed it but there are no TVs in the rooms (well or at least not in room 3) which was a surprise to me. There is a big one in the common area - I am just someone that likes it to unwind in bed (my tablet was a decent substitute - just harder for me and my husband to watch together vs an actual TV)

This place has so much character and is immaculately maintained, it was a real treat to stay here. It felt very special and homey, a nice change of pace from the usual big boring corporate hotels. I loved having the kitchen available to make myself a tea and sit in the salon to relax. I thought the room would be super tiny but it was fine for me and the bed was very comfortable (shower in the standard room is a little small though). Good location with plenty of restaurants along the street. I’ll absolutely stay here again!

I wish breakfast started a little earlier for those early days, but I could serve myself something and make a coffee so it worked out fine.

The Auberge is beautifully decorated and filled with history! The furniture is gorgeous in both the rooms and common spaces. The ambiance is perfect, they even play relaxing French music in the dining room. The terrace is also a lovely place to enjoy the delicious complimentary breakfast (including the croissants which were unbelievable). The Auberge is located on Rue St. Jean which is one of the best streets in the city. There are great bars and places to eat just steps away from the door. The neighborhood is lively but very safe, and just a 15-minute walk from the center of the Old City. The staff were so welcoming and took great care of us. They made suggestions for activities and quickly followed up on any requests we made. The stay was beyond what we could have expected! I truly hope we will be back.

The bathroom in the room is rather small, but there is a large bathroom on the main floor that I enjoyed.

Charming decor, sense of history, water pressure/temperature great, lots of choices at breakfast, staff in background but accessible and eager to help, their English facility was very good. Very nice to have historic JA Moisan Episerie next door. Location met our needs. Happy with our choice!

Hard to transport luggage up two narrow stairwells. No directions for how to use the spa bath. Sidewalks in the neighborhood could be slippery in the wintertime. We wore special footage and were fine.

Great location for walking to historical Quebec City. Public rooms inside the house were fabulous and chic. Loved the jazz music playing at breakfast.

I would have liked the hostesses to have been more visible, more accessible, and chatty. I just like to be welcomed in person. Also, I never knew what time breakfast was until I showed up and was told I was too early. Off site parking was a small inconvenience but not a deal breaker. Very congested city traffic on rue st jean and the general area made for a difficult time finding this house and getting oriented. But once I was parked and walking on foot, it was a great location to be in.

The place is well maintained. It felt like a little museum but also like a old style, cute and cozy house. Shared rooms are well thought and decorated. Music was playing when we arrived adding to the ambiance of the place. A little terrace space to enjoy the breakfast under the sun is great Our room was small but comfy with everything you need really Breakfast was a blast! Everything you dream of. Croissants were fresh and so good! The personnel was available if needed and so nice Cant recommend enough! We would definitely come back when visiting Quebec :)

We should have stay longer ;)

The bed and breakfast was great for a short stay of two nights. It is the cleanest place I've ever stayed in and is in a beautiful building. The room is all that you need for a room and having access to the second floor throughout the stay was much better than access to a hotel lobby.

This is minor, but since all the bedrooms are on one level, I was able to hear whenever other guests were coming and going, a little more than I normally would at a hotel. But that is part of what comes with staying at such a cozy place.

Very comfortable Friendly staff Mary was a delightful person to welcome us into B&B Ben next door at the store helped us bring our luggage down the stairs. He was very nice and had a wonderful attitude. Thank you again Ben.

Door code entry was sent to us a couple days before arrival via email. We didn’t see it when traveling. Narrow stairs restricted getting luggage to room. Breakfast was more continental than personally prepared. At 8:30 there was bread selections, yogurt, cereal and 1/2 hard boiled egg.

Perfect authentic auberge for couples. Had a blast of time enjoying the sitting rooms and the ambiance. The fresh breakfast was something else. I never had such a delicious freshly baked croissant and banana bread. The owner definitely has a thing for decoration and detail attention as it was awesome just looking at the display of the breakfast area and the auberge furniture. Definitely Booking it next time I am in Quebec :)
