Lovely continental breakfast which could be taken in the solarium or on the terrace. Beautifully decorated in period style, and generously sized, public spaces, use of a full modern kitchen. Ice maker, coffee, tea, sweets always available. Amazing attention to detail! Enjoyed learning the history of the house. Many coffee shops and restaurants nearby, and a two-block walk to the gate to the old city.

Steep narrow staircases---getting bags to the third floor room was a challenge. The bedrooms/ensuite are small dormer rooms, though compensated by the many comfortable communal spaces on the second floor.

If you want an exceptional experience in the heart of Quebec City, then book this lovely inn. We adored the entire home but particularly enjoyed staying in the suite. Even though you are on a very active street and the location is perfect for walking all over the city, it is so quiet and comfortable. Plus, the breakfast and sweet treats that are always available are divine! Do not hesitate to book. We will be going back.

Everything was wonderful. I would suggest that the parking be a little clearer. It is very close but, but the door to the parking garage is on the side of the hotel (so just be aware) and when you come up to the parking garage entrance, the door will go up when you get close to it. Just little tips for parking. But - you get used to it. Also, when you go to get your car out of the garage, you need to enter into the hotel and use its elevator. Again, just a tip!

Everything about the property was wonderful. I agree with all the positives reviews…clean, comfortable, good breakfast, lovely welcome int and helpful bilingual host, and exceptionally beautifully decorated and cared for. We took advantage of the lovely parlor, dining room, solarium, tv room and roof terrace. The weather was exceptionally hot for our visit but the Auberge was comfortably air-conditioned. WiFi works well, and the suggested parking at the Delta hotel just behind the Auberge worked well.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. But please be aware there are stairs to climb to get to the rooms and the rooms are not large modern hotel size. Not a problem. We loved our stay. Future visitors with mobility issues might need to be mindful of these factors.

The charm of this little Inn was through and through. The staff was lovely. We woke to the smell of croissants baking every morning. We felt like we stepped back in time to the 1920's. Soft music and a slower pace with exceptional decorating, soft linens and an at home feel. The location was also a plus. We planned a dinner with friends and had wine & d'oeuvres on the deck followed by pizza & salad in the formal dining room.

adorable place! our room was very clean and although small it was very well set up. Bed was very comfortable and normally a continental breakfast is meh but this one was great and we took advantage of it every day. The staff was helpful and friendly. While they do warn you about stairs, they are not bad (trust me - we've had MUCH worse stairs experiences!) - location is great - close enough to the heart of everything - has a pharmacy right across the street and several restaurants within minutes.

we stayed in room 3 (if that matters) and it was very warm. I am someone that is always cold - it was in the 20s outside most days and we consistently had the window open and a fan on. Those two things made it comfortable but definitely something to be aware of. This is probably listed and I missed it but there are no TVs in the rooms (well or at least not in room 3) which was a surprise to me. There is a big one in the common area - I am just someone that likes it to unwind in bed (my tablet was a decent substitute - just harder for me and my husband to watch together vs an actual TV)

This place has so much character and is immaculately maintained, it was a real treat to stay here. It felt very special and homey, a nice change of pace from the usual big boring corporate hotels. I loved having the kitchen available to make myself a tea and sit in the salon to relax. I thought the room would be super tiny but it was fine for me and the bed was very comfortable (shower in the standard room is a little small though). Good location with plenty of restaurants along the street. I’ll absolutely stay here again!

I wish breakfast started a little earlier for those early days, but I could serve myself something and make a coffee so it worked out fine.

The Auberge is beautifully decorated and filled with history! The furniture is gorgeous in both the rooms and common spaces. The ambiance is perfect, they even play relaxing French music in the dining room. The terrace is also a lovely place to enjoy the delicious complimentary breakfast (including the croissants which were unbelievable). The Auberge is located on Rue St. Jean which is one of the best streets in the city. There are great bars and places to eat just steps away from the door. The neighborhood is lively but very safe, and just a 15-minute walk from the center of the Old City. The staff were so welcoming and took great care of us. They made suggestions for activities and quickly followed up on any requests we made. The stay was beyond what we could have expected! I truly hope we will be back.

The bathroom in the room is rather small, but there is a large bathroom on the main floor that I enjoyed.

Charming decor, sense of history, water pressure/temperature great, lots of choices at breakfast, staff in background but accessible and eager to help, their English facility was very good. Very nice to have historic JA Moisan Episerie next door. Location met our needs. Happy with our choice!

Hard to transport luggage up two narrow stairwells. No directions for how to use the spa bath. Sidewalks in the neighborhood could be slippery in the wintertime. We wore special footage and were fine.

Very helpful staff and an excellent location for exploring Quebec city. Lovely 'old world' atmosphere thanks to the sympathetic restoration. Good choice at breakfast and access to kitchen at all times. Some excellent restaurants within 10 minutes of hotel.

Room (2) was a little small. While this was stated in the room details, we had bought (too much) luggage for our trip across Canada and so we had to manage our use of space carefully.

It was so well maintained, almost like staying in a film set. The continental breakfast was fabulous, facilities just great with hot drinks available 24 hours. The bedroom was quite small and had no wardrobes but was beautifully dressed and very comfortable. The owner was on site each morning, she was very friendly. The location was perfect, on a main street but just out of the main town.
