Very good breakfast, with beautiful brown eggs supplied in their own little nest, and all the other little touches that made a great cumulative experience. I particularly liked the generous supply of basics in big jars, not fiddly little paper tubes. Everything was of good quality. And the uninterrupted view of the sea was very special. It didn’t hurt that we lucked out on the weather.

The suite was very comfortable and had a beautiful view of the ocean. A cook your own breakfast was provided each morning. On the counter were eggs and bread. In the fridge there was fruit, juice, yogurt, butter, milk, etc. The hosts were very gracious and helpful. The restaurant was only a few minutes drive away. Nugget Point Lighthouse was a short drive from the town. The beach was in walking distance. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

Amazing! Beautiful apartment next to the ocean. Cosy, comfortable, one of the those places that instantly makes one feel at home. Breakfast is included. There is a separate entrance to the apartment through the patio. Patio and living room are both facing the ocean, meaning beautiful view is guaranteed :) This place looks and feels even better than in the photos. I can sincerely recommend Molyneux House and I would definitely love to stay there again for at a few days.

What an exceptional stay! The wonderful hosts met us on our arrival and took great care to explain all the features of our accomodation. The views as you walk in are breath taking and plush fixtures and furnishings kept us warm and cosy as the weather turned wet and windy outside. The large soft lounge to sit on and gaze at the view was just perfect. The kitchen facilities were very handy and breakfast provisions very generous. We will definitely come back to Molyneux House, it was a highlight of our trip to NZ. A big thank you to our hosts.

This is a wonderful studio apartment with a fantastic view of the ocean. It has a wonderful porch in front to enjoy coffee or a glass of wine, enjoying the view. There is breakfast (a great one) left in the fridge to prepare each morning. The place is sparkling clean and beautifully set up. And the hosts are lovely, welcoming couple. I highly recommend it.

Joan and John have created a lovely space in a beautiful spot right by the sea. Kaka point is stunning. The apartment is spacious, really well equipped and super comfortable with a gorgeous outlook. They are the consummate hosts and meeting them made our stay even more enjoyable.

Fantastic place, a lovely setting with amazing sea views. The place was like a private suite with everything you could need plus some. Fabulously comfortable bed. The view is fantastic. The ocean is just out the sliding door and across the road. The road is not heavily traveled, so there is no excessive noise. The bed was probably the best one we have had since coming to New Zealand. I also appreciate that the host told us about several things to do in the local area and set us up for a lot of good excursions.

The stay at Molyneux House was outstanding: clean, luxurious, waterfront views, private, lovely breakfast, every need catered for. Hosts Joan and John were welcoming and attentive, while respecting our privacy. Highly recommended.

Lovely accommodation in a fabulous location. The Catlins was a real treasure of an area. Beautiful forests and wonderful coastal scenery! Just be prepared to drive several kilometers on gravel roads to beaches that are completely untouched and unspoiled. Completely worth it!!
