The room was comfortable, clean with the most magical views of the ocean. We loved the heritage lounge downstairs with its beautiful furnishings and daily happy hour. The staff were quite pleasant and helpful.😀

The breakfast buffet was not good, tasteless eggs, not a lot of variety, particularly in regards to fruit. The little buffet cakes looked old and sad ... they were surprisingly homemade and, when fresh, were probably delicious. The hot water in the urn didn't make for an enjoyable tea, it had a strange taste. Overall, I would definitely stay again ... just find somewhere else for breakfast.

We had the Sea View room with shared balcony. The rooms have been really tastefully redone and the view from the balcony is amazing. We had many cocktails in the cocktail lounge looking out at the ocean. The location and comfort was just what we needed for an amazing long weekend. The cocktails were great and the cocktail waitress was amazing.

We ate in the hotel a few times. The house red wine was not very nice and there was nothing else offered buy the glass with dinner. I also think the $30 breakfast was a little overpriced. I think $22-$24 would be a fair price.

Location was central for travelling around the island. View was very relaxing. Sitting outside on small balcony, beautiful wrens would visit. Rooms were spacious. Shower a little small for tall people but manageable. Had washing machine & dryer if needed. All detergents/teatowels etc will be found in the laundry. We were on lower level, had about 10 steps you needed to climb but again manageable.

Parking - street parking outside complex. You may not get outside your room and have to park across the road. Further walking for carrying luggage. Be very careful opening screen door leading to balcony. For us was very tricky, often coming off rail, so be careful.

Really lost for words, the staff here went above and beyond to help accommodate for an unforeseen situation I was in. Quite heart touching. 🥹 Every meal I have here is exceptional.. and oh my the angus burger, no lie, was the best I've ever had. 😋🍔 The smiles, the cleanliness, comfy king bed, the small things some might not even notice, that make you not want to leave really haha. 😊🛏️ Just an amazing experience. 🎉 Well done guys, absolute legends. It did not particularly bother me, but it may have affected the other guests. I hope I did not disturb them by walking around the room while organizing my luggage. The establishment is older, and unfortunately, the floorboards creaked quite a bit in one room. However, fixing this issue would require a significant undertaking, as the floor would need to be removed and repaired. One could argue that it adds character to the place.

Beautiful historical hotel in excellent condition and in a great location overlooking the sea. Our room had wonderful morning views of the sunrise. The rooms were very clean and well appointed. The reception staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful.

There is no off-street parking. The meals that we had in the restaurant were quite average and overpriced. The service was poor and a little disorganised.

Room was huge, beds comfy had all amenities - ample tea/coffee, nespresso machine, mini fridge, hair dryer, iron + stand, dining table, TV...and all squeaky clean. Next to the water, has a good restaurant and close to all the Kingscote shops and restaurants.

Nothing to fault. If at all, it will be great if they can add some character to the rooms with some interior design help. The rooms feel plain jane. (the bedside lamps with white light is a vibe killer :-D)

The room was very nice with a king sized bed which was very comfortable. Our room was a pool view room and it was very quiet with not a lot of outside noise to contend with. We had dinner and breakfast in their restaurant and the food was great.

The shower screen didn't fit properly and got water all over the bathroom floor. We reported this to the reception desk and they were pleased that we had done so and said that they would get it rectified.

The room was very clean, the bed was so comfortable and the basic room we requested was perfect as we were out all day so didn't need a more expensive room. Downstairs we had the restaurant and the food was exceptional with the main focus on the steak which was exceptional, so good we ordered it 3 days in a row. Literally nothing to complain about our stay.

Nothing to mention, very happy with our stay and will certainly return here.

Lovely upstairs unit, spotlessly clean, very spacious with 1 bedroom and full kitchen. Balcony was great, being right on the beachfront was amazing.

As the duplex has a downstairs unit and shared main door, it would be better having a motion sense light instead of the standard light switch. Once the main door was closed it was pitch black in the little foyer which made it difficult trying to open the internal door.

The room was bright and airy and spotlessly clean. All the staff we met were friendly and informative. The breakfast was fantastic. Huge choice. It really set us up for our day’s activities.

We had a room at the back of the property. The view was out onto an unattractive roof. Our own fault we know for booking so last minute. Unfortunately though it appeared the air conditioning units were located close to our window and the sound was a little intrusive.
