Great hotel, it made for a great base for my stay on Kangaroo Island. The room was really comfortable and spacious, and the balcony was a particular treat, with views over the ocean and back to the Australian mainland. It had all the things I needed for a comfortable, self-catered stay, and I particularly appreciated the use of the shared microwave in the common area. The local IGA supermarket is a short walk away, as is the ferry to the mainland, and the island's Little Penguins come ashore in the evening right opposite the hotel.

Please do ensure that the battery is fully-charged, and not two-fifths full, when renting out your e-bikes...!!

We took our car with us to Kangaroo Island on the Sealink Ferry, the hotel was within minutes of the ferry terminal, it had ample car parking available in front and beside the hotel. Our room was on the 2nd floor only accessible via a staircase. The Hotel and our room looked out over the sea/ocean. The room was clean, and tidy and our breakfast was lovely on both days at "The Kiosk" downstairs. We had dinner at the Penneshaw Pub on both days as it was only a short walk from the hotel.

Lovely historical hotel with motel style rooms attached. Rooms were very clean and well-appointed and had views of the sea. The beds were very comfortable, there is a small cafe, off street parking, and a laundry onsite. The staff were very friendly and incredibly helpful, and even assisted with our ferry bookings. The hotel is in a great location with the Penneshaw Pub just a few minutes up the road for meals, a petrol station around the corner, and the ferry terminal a few minutes down the road.

On booking.com it said a garden view so was surprised when we were taken out to cabins at the rear of the hotel. Luckily the cabins were very nice, roomy and the bed was so comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and kitchen/lounge area was big enough for more than 2 people. IGA/Penneshaw Pub and 2 cafes close by.

Pretty much everything was good. I have a daughter who has OCD so she checked every sheet and pillow and bath towel for marks which was a bit frustrating for me as I have stayed in much much worse accommodation.

We stayed in one of their spacious cabins and were delighted by the space, comfort and setting. With the beautiful garden setting, it felt as if we were in a tropical rainforest. The hotel is short walk from an excellent supermarket, cafes, amazing beach and walking trails. We highly recommend the Seafront.

Please fix the curtains so they can be closed fully and keep out the morning light for those who like to sleep in a bit. A curtain on the bathroom window would also help.

Great stay. Big room and comfy bed. Amazing view facing the sea. Easy check in and out. Has everything you need (kettle, fridge, hair dryer etc.)

The kettle was very dirty, and it seemed like mould/ white sticky liquid at the base of it. Also, the water doesn't drain well at the basin, which makes it very hard for us to wash our face and hands as it fills up quickly. Besides, the bathroom was very soupy, so when water first comes out from the shower head, foam starter foaming which can be slippery.

Central location in Penneshaw. Comfortable largish motel style room with seaward facing balcony. We were there in winter so didn’t make use of the facilities and there was some maintenance, renovation work happening. Reception staff were friendly/helpful. Easy access to ferry in morning. Also didn’t partake of onsite breakfast. Crockery and cutlery supplied but no toaster or microwave.

Overnight stay prior to doing a circuit of the island. Comfortable, clean & tidy with private balcony having an outlook to the ocean. Pool area looked good although too cold when we were there. Reception staff were polite & accommodating. The pub easy stroll for dinner & drinks. IGA close for any grocery items.

Our room didn’t have a toaster but we had friends staying too & their room did.

Situated in Penneshaw, which is not the largest town, but it is close to the ferry terminal. Also close to pub, the town's main eating place for tourists. The hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff were very pleasant. They will make a ferry booking for you at a discounted price, when you book a hotel room.

No major defects. All good.

I loved this place - it reminded me of 'Home and Away' and the staff were super friendly. Delicious breakfast and fantastic pub in the village which served great food. Much nicer than we thought it would be and we highly recommend. Kangaroo Island has been the highlight of our time in Australia so far and definitely worth visiting.
