CABN is a very special place! We absolutely loved our two-night stay. The location is quiet and a bit remote, which we loved. There are only five or six cabins on the property, and they are very spread out, so you have a lot of privacy. The views are amazing, the wildlife plentiful, and the cabin is very well thought out with lovely touches. We made sure to come back to the cabin well before sunset after exploring the amazing island, just to make sure we had plenty of time to enjoy the cabin, the surroundings, and once the sun started getting lower on the horizon, take in the views from the deck with the many kangaroos and wallabies who came right around the cabin. We also absolutely loved having the sauna with the picture window, and used it both nights. And, the night sky is truly amazing with absolutely no light pollution. All in all, a very special and memorable stay. Highly recommended.

Scenery was amazing. Fun watching the wallabies and wildlife around. The cabin is stylish and so lovely to stay in. The delicious wine, olives and popcorn was a welcome treat. Great BBQ and cooking facilities, and having a coffee machine with the milk frother is perfect.

Only very minor and didn’t detract from our stay: Floors a bit sandy, and a few dead insects around. Chipped bowl and pepper shaker needed refilling. We hadn’t realised a large milk was provided so brought our own.

We had the best holiday at the cabin's! We both work hard and we left feeling extremely rested and relaxed we ever felt after a holiday. The wildlife was so close and it was extremely quiet. Even with the drought, we found the area was lovely especially watching the sunsets and storms roll in. The facilities were clean and tidy. The bed was soooo comfortable and all the finishing touches were a bonus ie sauna, outdoor bath and BBQ

Nothing we didnt like

Unique peaceful rural location with sea views and wild nature on your doorstep. Watching the kangaroos come out in the evening right by the cabin was unforgettable. The cabin itself was fitted out to a high quality with comfy bed, really nice bathroom and well fitted kitchen. The sauna room was amazing with full windows allowing you to watch the nature whilst outside Bath was the ultimate finish to the day

Struggled to get A/C to work but fortunately the fan was really good

The cabin was located in such a beautiful area with the most amazing views. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset with kangaroos around us. The cabin was well equipped and had everything we needed and more! It's a perfect place to relax and have some quality time.

Everything was great. Only 2 little details : the control panel for the sauna was in Dutch and it took us a little while to find the language set-up 😀 and the Bluetooth speaker had no battery so we couldn't use it in the sauna.

The welcome food basket was a lovely touch. Thank you :) We had no difficulty hot spotting our data WIFI from our phone to our devices to do some work and loved being partially off the grid. We saved down google maps to our phones to navigate around the island which is a must tip for other travellers as the data range is limited on many roads. We took an ice bath on the deck after purchasing $6 bagged ice from the local service station near the ferry and took a hot sauna afterwards which made the place feel like a true health nirvana. We laughed each morning at 7 am when the black raven pecked at the door like an alarm clock checking out its own reflection...don't worry we did not feed the wild life. We gazed at the stars from bed each night though the skylight and collected shells from the private beach below us and tried to be home to watch the magnificent sunsets each day. I have stayed at the Southern Ocean Lodge and now at CABN and they are both 5 star locations of preference when visiting the island.

There was no where to put our suitcases of clothing so we had to navigate carefully over them to get into bed as the hanging space was limited but that's a travellers life ;-). The drainage in the Sauna made things a little slippery upon exit but we worked out how to direct the water runoff from the coals into the shower drain... I also would have loved an ice tray but instead froze water bottles to keep food cool whilst on the road. We also could not locate the BOSE speaker advertised. We recommend perhaps having a shader on the deck and a cube side table next to the outdoor bath to place devices or a cup but truly we wanted for nothing and did not want to leave.

The location and design of cabin was great

There are mice in the cabin which I could hear at night and woke to evidence of them getting into dry goods eg nuts, biscuits etc. mice dung present. Needs addressing ASAP. Also since the cabin is about relaxation I was very disappointed that neighbouring guests were flying a drone… I suggest banning them. Also when I arrived same neighbors had music blaring very loudly which completely destroyed serenity of the location…. Suggest you address in advertising that it is not a party place and music needs to be quiet.

Was beautiful! Isolated and relaxing!

definitely ideally need a 4wd to access our cabin Eddie as it’d be difficult in a normal car as even in our Hilux we still slid a few times. Someone’s water bottle was left between the curtin and beside table and one of the wine glasses had a crack in it which we discovered while setting up the space

The location is beautiful and the facilities are fabulous!

We were should have had a complimentary breakfast hamper (as advertised) but unfortunately this was not given. Given the price we paid for 1 night, this was a let down!

Very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom, sauna and amazing views.

Too far away from all the main attractions. It is in a very remote location and getting around to other parts of the island took a lot of driving. The cabn is not big so don’t overpack!
