Loved our stay at Riu Caribe from the very first minute. We were greeted by lovely Daniela and got un unexpected upgrade of our room, which was a nice surprise. Then it got only better. Room was beautiful, clean and bright, overlooking turquoise Caribbean sea. Restaurants had a great selection of food, plenty to choose from at the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet. Plus, the other restaurants on top of it, with no reservations needed. There was a plenty of entertainment throughout the day, either at the pools, beach or theatre area in the evenings. Really enjoyed White Party, where my husband and I felt like a teenagers again. Big shoutout to dozens of hardworking staff, who make sure that the place is spotless and your stay fully enjoyable. Mexican hospitality and kindness blew us away and we are willing to come back to this beautiful place again

It was a little noisy outside at night, as there were groups of youngsters enjoying all inclusive access to the spirits bit too much, but we didn’t mind it, as we were there too once, many moons ago.

Good food offering, excellent beach, plenty of activities, great service from the waiters and bar staff. Location is on the main strip and right next to its sister hotel.

I searched for 2 bedrooms for 4 adults and picked out the Riu Caribe but didn’t notice that the first room option on the Booking.com site defaults to 2 bedrooms for 1 person occupancy each. Upon arrival, we had to pay an extra US$1500 which was a nasty surprise and not a great start to the holiday! The rooms with Booking.com also come with US$850 resort credit which we were looking forward to using on spa treatments and water sports but when we enquired about these facilities we found out that the credit could only be used as a discount (typically 10-20%) to the list price of the services so we would have to spend approximately US$5,000 cash per room in order to actually use the full room credit. The website description of this resort credit is very misleading.

I was a little disappointed with the view of my first room, but Jorge changed it to a room with a great view, so I was able to have a happy time for 5days. Thank you to all the staff who always provided service with a bright smile.

I thank my satisfaction would be much higher if there was room service and free airport shuttle service. However, the cleanliness and the friendly and courteous attitude of the staff were the best.

Amazing resort , really beautiful! I absolutely loved the parties they organised every Monday , Wednesday, Friday and Saturday! The dancers from the animation team at the party did a really good job !! Also the food was excellent , it was beyond my expectations! And the beach was really nice also ! I had a great time there and I wanna come again!!

Even though the resort is excellent, I didn’t like that the day we arrived they charged us another 200$ per person and even though we insisted that the booking price was different , the person at the reception asked for this money ( 400$ total /200 per person ) and if we didn’t pay he refused us to stay . This was horrible by him and also on our last day they asked for another 100$ . As a result they took all of our cash and it was horrible from them . Just be careful with them and pay by card . Ask a receipt for everything.

I liked my room; it was spacious, the bed was super comfortable, and everything was impeccably clean. The service was also excellent; everyone was very friendly and attentive.

The pools were small, especially the one with the bar; it was always packed. Consequently, we ended up using the one next to it and, of course, spent the majority of our time on the beach, which was really nice. The food and drinks could have been better. I didn't end up drinking much, as all the drinks were kind of bad. I tried the piña colada, and it was overly sugary; the same goes for the margaritas. Everything is pre-made, so I wouldn't recommend these drinks. Also, the food was okay. The Mexican restaurant was good, the Asian one was bad, the gourmet was okay, (but the service was awful, weird as everyone in the hotel was really nice in general). Lastly, the buffet was best for breakfast, but for lunch and dinner, the food was meh and always the same.

The rooms between x45 - x63 on floor 2-5 are next to lobby and noisy in the night due to cleaning process. We changed our room which was no problem on request

Everything! The location, the beach, the pools, the room - everything was above expectations here. The parties looked awesome too although I didn’t get a chance to attend. The people seemed to be having fun!

It’s a little weird for solo people to go and sit at the restaurants for dinner as there’s a lot of crowd and waiters prefer larger groups or couples. So I mostly ate at the 24/7 snack bar.

The beach was clean and very beautiful. I was pleased to sit under the palm trees, which gave us the necessary shade. The food was decent. I especially liked the variety of soups. They were very tasty. Ruben at the front desk was always very friendly and helpful. I would like to note the excellent work of the Booking manager Ophelia. She was always ready to help, we did not feel any pressure from her. When we decided to cancel the trip, she did it quickly and without any problem. The room was clean and had an ocean view. New shampoo and conditioner bottles were installed during our stay. Before this there was only shampoo and shower gel 2 in one. Night shows were amazing especially MJackson and Mexican Culture show. When it was raining, the animation team did everything to keep gasts from getting bored, played games with them, entertained them. They really tried their best to keep us busy. Kids club was great too. My kid was very happy to participate in their activities. Thank you girls!

Sometimes day parties were too loud. It was impossible to have a rest at the beach. I noticed that buffet was especially very good with chocolate fontain 3 days before the survey. Right after the survey held in the main restaurant the fountain and some other nice dishes disappeared. Take better care of your personal belongings. I left my hat on the table at the pool bar and it's gone forever.

Loved our stay here - the hotel is fabulous, wonderful views from our balcony. The pool area was amazing and the direct access to the beach. Great entertainment throughout. The breakfast and lunch options were nice. We liked the Asian restaurant the most for dinner. Lovely tacos available for lunch near the pool and amazing cocktails. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We didn't like some of the dinner restaurants - particularly the steakhouse, the steak we got was not good. Also the Mexican restaurant wasn't great, we thought the food here would be better.

The beach was perfect. Huge variety of food, we liked it. Many different meats, fish and seafruits.

Party hotel, unfortunatelly. We didn’t know that, we wanted relax, and the program made by animators was all days long and at almost all places of the hotel, very lound music, loud people. Riu party place is part of the hotel, having parties 4 times a week. We got a room with balcony above the party place, but luckily after giving claim at the reception, they gave us different room. The hotel is very huge and other thing we missed was more pools. There are only three small pools for almost 600 rooms. One pool is pool bar, second pool is aerobic, games, animators’activities pool and the third one we were using was pool volleyball place, so many times there was no place to swim and no place to have relax. Good choice for party people, for others not.
