Saffron House is a wonderful little place, very in-keeping with the general feeling in Combe Martin - quiet, relaxed and reminiscent of times gone by. It's a great spot for a relax. The couple that run it are lovely and were so kind. Their cat is beautiful and so friendly and sweet! The room itself was homely and the breakfast was AWESOME. The location is second to none, with the beach about 3 mins away.

The parking was a little steep and quite difficult to get back out of (but it HAS parking so one shouldn't really complain!!) and the only free power sockets were underneath the bed. That's just very nitpicky things though I wouldn't hesitate to return (and will)!

Fabulous breakfast and location; staff were really welcoming to us and our toddler. Gorgeous outside seating area, with fairy lights in the evening, and the pool is small but perfect & looked fab - we didn't get a chance to try it unfortunately! Really useful having onsite parking as well. We caught the Combe Martin Carnival whilst we stayed, which was really fun, and the hosts were very helpful with tips on where to watch etc.

Slightly dated room and the bed was a little soft for my personal preference - my husband disagreed though. Unfortunately I was on crutches so the slope up to the hotel was a little tricky, as were the stairs, but it was definitely manageable if you take your time!

Lovely welcome by David, with such a nice feel to the place. Room was very clean and tidy with nice comforts like the tea/coffee. Breakfast was amazing with quality produce and was really lovely and bright and airy in the dining room. A bar available and packed lunches is a lovely added touch. Shame it was so cold and rainy as outdoor pool looked nice too! Great location to the beach but also short drive to the castle and ilfracombe.

lovely property, located about a 5 minute walk from main village, 5 min walk away from the Pack Of Cards pub with amazing food, comfortable and relaxing place to stay, owners were lovely and enjoyed a chat, probably the best place I’ve stayed this week on my walking holiday, breakfast was great, offered more toast and coffee

This is being picky, but took the wrong steps and found myself on the road next to the hotel, so maybe signage could be improved, even though there is a sign for the hotel but doesn’t make it clear where to go

A haven from the rain after a long day spent walking. Great hot shower and comfy room nodded off very easily . Owners were welcoming and helpful. There was a very good Breakfast , just what you needed to set you up for a very steep walk to the Hangman. Combe Martin was an interesting place to wonder around in the evening. Would recommend the quirky Pack o Cards for an evening meal. Great food and welcoming Bar

Nothing really - just that it rained a lot when we were there, but that wasn't really the fault of anyone apart from the Weather1

The fresh clean smell when you walk in the door The swimming pool on a hot day The lounge that’s available at all times Security of the building was secure and felt safe The rooms were very comfortable and well kept Breakfast always exceptional

We had a warm and welcoming greeting with David on arrival. He showed us to our room and told us about the dining arrangements and longe room etc. Breakfast varied and cooked to order, delicious. Cleanliness excellent. Location good.

I think parking might be an issue when fully booked.

Lovely B&B, well located close to the seafront. Comfortable and clean, great breakfast. If you're a walker they offer packed lunches, there's also pizzas if you're peckish in the evening, and it has a bar.

Limited onsite parking but that can't be helped, there are carparks nearby.

The location is just right. Although parking was available, my car grounded every time on the camber on the bottom! And i have a higher car too. Nice breakfast, nice shower. Clean crisp sheets. Lovely puddycat, Meg

Mattress was a little lumpy bumpy but adequate I suppose… I had a spider in my room that was too high to reach so we shared the room ☺️ he didn’t complain.

The hosts were welcoming and friendly but not intrusive. The accommodation was clean and tidy. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. Facilities were good. The breakfast was lovely one of the best we have had.
