The facility was very clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location was also good, as it was away from the more congested downtown area.

Two things: 1) there is no elevator in this building. The majority of guests were middle-aged and older and it was very difficult to carry suitcases up 20 steps. It would have been nice of the online description would have been provided. That way, a guest could request a room on the 1st floor. 2) The breakfast was pretty bad with very limited selections. In addition, the eating area was very small,, requiring many guests to find seating in the lobby, which also had limited availability

Staff was excellent and very friendly. Hot coffee available in the lobby at all times (even though there is also a coffee maker in your room). Our vacation plans changed and we wanted to extend our stay by 2 nights and they made it very easy. Breakfast was pretty standard for this type of hotel. It alternated daily between sausage and eggs and biscuits and gravy and also had make your own waffles along with standard continental breakfast items. It was what we needed for our trip, as we spent most of the time in the beautiful outdoors.

Needs more seating in the breakfast area as it gets very crowded at times and we were there at a slower time. Hot tub in the process of being replaced, but we were notified that at the time of booking.

As other travelers noted, for some reason the beds and pillows really comfortable. Pool was nice, and they have a new hot tub. Hot breakfast simple but good. Sausage gravy and biscuits plus eggs. Staff seemed to like their jobs, no negative implied at all. This was a late choice as weather and our activities, Painted Rocks cruise, dictated a hotel vs camping we'd counted on.

Staff informed me MI doesn't require elevator for 2 stories. If on the second floor it's a long staircase to lug your stuff up, or down. Not horrible, but night before when we inquired about pool and hot tub for the morning, it was approx 9am, but we wanted to be on the road. They said no problem turning lights on for you and heating hot tub. Well yes, they turned lights on BUT decided to drain tub that morning. Bummer on the communication.

The gentleman who worked the front desk was very nice and helpful. The lady in the lounge that made are drinks was friendly and helped give use ideas- in fact she’s the reason we booked an extra night - taking her advice to do some more sight seeing in Munising. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was yummy - there were 2 kinds of waffles - regular and banana nut. The scrambled eggs and sausage gravy were warm and tasty. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great location, as a sort of central hub to traveling to different places in Munising and in the greater U.P. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Nice, clean rooms. Overall, would definitely recommend.

Walls were a little thin, so we heard some of the other residents from next door from time to time. Like many places these days, there was no in-stay housekeeping service, which can be a challenge when you are staying for multiple days. However, they were helpful in providing us with extra towels and trash bags when requested. Nice swimming pool, but unfortunately we were disappointed to see the hot tub was not working.

unfortunately rooms being not done everyday is standard now days in most hotels , it is a service our family truly miss and is the reason we choose to go to hotels ( clean sheets, beds made everyday, clean carpet, bathroom ect) , instead of camping. I understand the beds are not made everyday , so is the cleaning , but it would have been nice to have someone come in sometime during our stay to replace the toileteries , leave us some clean towels , and empty the garbages. We stayed 4 nights.

Very nice hotel, with a great staff! The front desk staff was very nice and made us feel welcome. The bartender was great! Christine was very talkative with all of the guests and she was fun. Normally bartenders are very serious and don't talk much with the guests they are serving. She definitely is in the right profession. Breakfast was very good also. Scrambled eggs, sausage, breads, muffins, waffles, all yummy.

Breakfast was unusual for the “normal” continental breakfast menu. Sausage gravy & biscuits hit the mark with my husband. We stayed three nights and the food was always fresh and quite a variety to choose from. Kudos to the staff working each morning keeping the area clean and food re-filled.

The room temperature was a little chilly with the air conditioning. No complaints with the food choices, though

Breakfast was basic but well done and varied from day to day. Hotel was clean and staff very welcoming. Also enjoyed the 1/2 pint pub located in the hotel....although it wasn't open every night.

When using the heater/air conditioner in the room on the 1st day the air coming out of it smelled musty. It got better the next day.

The staff were very nice and inviting. I felt very comfortable in the environment. The location was easy access. I will be telling friends and family. Also the price was hard to beat 😊

The smell in the room was a little musty. I'm sure it had to do with the iron in the water but with the fan on it made the smell worse.
