This is an older motel that has been renovated to a good level. There is still a little remnant of mold and old cigarette smoke in the hallways, but does not penetrate the rooms. It sits on a busy state highway with highway noise through the night included jack braking by trucks. It's located withing walking distance of restaurants, grocery and the Pictured Rocks Cruises. There is a good electronic key system throughout. The beds were comfortable.

The room looked exactly like the online pictures so there was no surprise like walking into the room and finding they had used out dated photos. It's a nice location that's really close to everything so walking around town is a great option when the weather cooperates. Housekeeping popped in and cleaned up our room while we were out. We weren't expecting it so it was a nice surprise to come back to. We didn't make it to the pool but a couple staying next to us as had mentioned that it was nice.

The parking lot is a bit small. We always found a spot, but it was also always down to 1 or 2 spots left every time we did. Our bed was firm.

We stayed there midweek after doing a backpacking trip across Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The hotel is older, but very well maintained and very clean. We enjoyed some relaxing therapy after our hard hike in the pool, hot tub, and sauna. I especially appreciated the sauna. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get up to temperature (the rocks need to absorb the heat), but then you can ladel the water from the wooden bucket onto the hot rocks and the steam fills the room to an incredible temperature. Sitting in that for 5-10 minutes at a time and then jumping in the pool to cool off is an amazing experience and very therapeutic. This is my new favorite hotel.

The staff were friendly. We had to get two rooms due to the size of our party. Room 40 was great. So much room and comfy For the price and area, it was a great deal and I was happy we chose this place. We would go there again. Walking distance to yummy restaurants and the cruises we had booked. There is a grocery store across the street that has anything you would need.

You can kinda smell chlorine in the rooms connected to the pool area. But we didnt notice it so much after turning the AC on.

The staff was exceptional. Before I checked in, a group of 8 was checking in. The person at the desk remained calm, professional and engaging. She answered all of their questions and made sure they understood the map of the city. When I checked in I already knew everything I needed to know!

The size of the room was a little smaller than I expected based on the pictures I saw online. The TV was older and kept freezing up, which was a little annoying. However, the room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We were within walking distance of everything we were doing in town. The staff was knowledgeable on the local area and one plus was one of our traveling companions has special food needs, and the staff was able to direct us to places that could accommodate

There wasn’t really anything we didn’t like the facilities were clean. They were centrally located in the town with easy access to everything that we wanted to do.

Our suite was more sizable than we thought. Located across from a store which was great, since we couldn’t find any restaurants to dine in. Staff was super cool and very pleasant!

The room was stuffy. Kind of smelled. But we did have to put the heat on so that also could have been why. Tub had hair in it. (Before any of us showered) Sheets had food crumbles or something underneath the blankets. We had to brush it off. We are not fussy. But you should keep that in mind. Also, in the area, we could not order food in. Restaurants closed or not allowed more dining by 8pm.

This was our first stay at the Pictures Rocks Inn. It is located on the main drag and is a few blocks from restaurants, the bookstore, the boat dock, and a nice neighborhood in which to walk. Our room was exceptional - spacious, comfortable, quiet, plenty of seating, and well maintained. Price was reasonable and free parking. Breakfast is not provided, however, Earl E. Byrds is a good breakfast option, or, there is a large grocery store across the street and the rooms are equipped with refrigerator and microwave. Staff was friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

The property is across the street from a grocery store, so we didn't need to pack additional food items. Maps and interests of the local area events are in the main lobby. We were about 20 minutes away from countless breathtaking lakes. Everyone was friendly and even helped us find the best Yupper Lite Rock Hunting area!

The front two doors at the entrance are not electronically opened. A young lady from the front desk quickly came to our rescue and held the door open. They have excellent baggage trollies!

I loved how easily accessible this hotel was. We were in room 28 so we were right inside an external door which we actually loved. We were coming and going quite a bit, and this made it very simple. The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is maybe a tad outdated but we stayed here for 3 nights and have no notable complaints. We would stay here again. Munising is a great place to visit, we thought. Sand Point beach is not far away and was very beautiful. It was easy access to the Pictured Rocks Highway. Munising Falls and Horseshoe Falls are very close and worth a visit!

There was no breakfast provided, it's always nice when a hotel offers this but there were plenty of local places to get delicious breakfast.
