The Pines Country Inn had a good rep, but you never really know til you get there. This place was a sweet surprise. Nicely kept, old style in a good way, friendly and helpful staff. Really nice rooms: a bit of space, wooden furniture, lamps, quiet AC, updated bath, comfortable bed, and a pleasant piece of property. We were happy with the whole thing.

No negatives.

Homey, peaceful! This was a great bargain for everything that we got and we needed. Loved the chairs that rocked in the room and the country decor. The owners were very friendly and abiding to anything we needed! When I go to Newcastle again I will stay there.

That we couldn't stay longer! Ha

Adorable rooms, decorated more like a bedroom in someone's home than a motel room. Very comfortable bed. Super nice owner. Cute little sitting area in front of room as well as larger outdoor sitting area. Mule deer wandering through the parking lot. Location is woodsy and private, but close to shops and restaurants. Loved it.

Very sparse continental breakfast offerings, but this is so overcome by how lovely everything else is.

It is a lovely property located off the beaten path but still close to restaurants and fuel stations. Deer wander through the property adding to the charm. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My room was cozy and inviting - like staying in grandma's guest bedroom with it's own bathroom. They have a cute reading nook with a nice selection of books in the room. The complimentary continental breakfast was a nice bonus with coffee, hot cocoa, cereals, milk, bagels, fruit and yogurt. This is my new favorite motel.

This is a minor thing and definitely not a deal breaker for me - rustic staircase up to the rooms. It adds charm to the facility. But it would be difficult for someone with mobility issues.

It was quiet, we didn’t realize we were getting a whole little cabin to ourselves. It was wonderful. Quiet and the beds were super comfortable.

There were lots of mosquitoes.
