We were pleasantly surprised by this Super 8. The room was clean and spacious, with plenty of room for our belongings. We're traveling across the country and staying in a mix of budget-friendly and higher-end hotels, and this stay actually outshone a few of the Hilton properties we've visited. Our room was conveniently located on the first floor, with our car parked right in front—making it easy to keep an eye on our vehicle, Starlink, and bike. The pool and jacuzzi were clean and remained empty throughout our stay, which was a nice bonus. The staff was excellent—friendly and very accommodating with our requests for early check-in and late check-out. A great experience overall!

Proximity to all the places that we planned to visit.

This was room 2 of 2. Requested them to be close together. Received a confirmation that they would be able to have them close, but not adjoining. Great. When we arrived: 1 room was first floor at one end of the building, second room was upstairs at the opposite end. The desk clerk was able to move the second room to 4 doors from ours. Which worked out well. Glad we arrived early enough for him to do this. 4 days that far from my daughter and granddaughter would not have been pleasant. I thanked the young man, but lost my note with his name. Very nice young man.

Loved the big room we stayed in. You could have easily slept 8 people in there. The bedroom with a walk-in closet was really nice. Full-size kitchen with big fridge was great to have.. The location was very good for us. The monuments we went to see were not that far of a drive. Would stay in room 301 if we ever make it up that way again.

The pool was great.

The address given with the hotel was not correct. We drove around town and couldn't find it. I called the hotel and she gave me the correct address and directions. She said "I don't know why it does that sometimes." A couple of kids ball teams were booked there. They took over the breakfast room and we couldn't get to the food. I walk with a cane and my son-in-law uses a wheelchair, so it was almost impossible to get to the food, what was left of it, with all those kids.

The location and staff were great! Super close to Custer State Park. The room was large and felt more like a little apartment - nice for a family trip across the country with our pets.

There wasn’t an elevator… but we knew that ahead of time and were okay that it didn’t. Also, I didn’t realize the motorcycle rally was going on the same weekend as our move across the country. Haha.

- Our room 208 was separated with another room by a door, a family was very noisy at night was there, it sounded like it was in our room. You have to hit the wall and settle the problem yourself. Unacceptable for this price, first goal of a hotel being that you come here to sleep.

Convenient, friendly employees, property was clean

There was a smell in our room, told front desk. They brought some air freshener spray. Later the smell came back for my husband pulled the filter from AC and cleaned it out and like magic the smell was gone!! The filters need to be cleaned!! I have allergies and was having issues until the vent was cleaned!

Very clean, comfortable rooms. Old, but well taken care of. Great location, easy to get out and explore in any direction. Pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing.

Some neighbors were a bit loud and a dog was constantly barking, no coffee maker in the room.

Good location for Mount Rushmore, rooms were comfortable and a good temperature despite the cold outside. Included breakfast in the morning was a good selection of items and set us up for the day. Worth visiting the Frontier bar almost opposite to get food and drinks, excellent quality and good selection of items and friendly welcome.

The staff was very nice, gracious, and interactive. The local was ideal.

The breakfast person started putting chairs on tables before 9 am, and guests were still coming to the breakfast room. She could have said, "Please come on in. I just started to close because there several empty tables." That way guests still felt welcome. No food should be removed prior to 9 am, also muffins would be great! My observation did not affect my party, but others.
