We loved the rustic look of the hotel, our room was very spacious and comfortable. The location was near Custer state park which we visited multiple times during of stay. The town was adorable and a great restaurant was just down the road.

We loved how quiet it is during the "off-peak" season but this posed a bit of a problem because several attractions/ restaurants/ etc were closed for the season. There was still tons to do but if I had to say something negative it would be this but this didn't have to do with anything the hotel did.

The morning gal corrected what the evening gentlemen should have done.

The evening gentleman was difficult to work with and was just an unhappy person. Told us that we should consider ourselves lucky because he found the “last” coffee machine in the building to replace the missing one that was no longer in our room. We had the cups and the coffee, just no coffee maker. Wouldn’t the cleaning person notice when they refreshed the coffee counter. The cleaning person missed the broken bathroom dispenser also.

Well located with comfortable beds. Hot tub and pool were nice.

Breakfast, which was part of why I booked here, was gross. When I went down, they were out of sausage, bacon, hashbrowns. But they did have a heaping pile of turkey sausage that none of their guests wanted. I’m not really sure why they would cook so much of it when they are running out of the basics. My friend had cereal but the milk was off. We skipped breakfast for the remainder of our stay. The toilet in the room is only like a foot off the floor. Small children will find it to be convenient, but adults will feel awkward. Also the bathroom had no vent fan, which is a bummer when not traveling solo.

What a location! Being less than 30mins from Mt Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and the Wildlife loop makes Custer a great location - and this hotel is the perfect stay if you are in town! The large lobby offered a relaxing space to unwind with a coffee or tea in the evening, and a brilliant setting for the included breakfast. The staff we met were friendly and professional and the room was large, modern and clean. A great stay!

Nothing, well worth your consideration!

The layout of the room-everything was in a convenient location, and was accessible. Plugins for charging the phones, hooks to hangup coats, closet location, and counter space to place items. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choices (loved the make-your-own pancakes)!

The plug in the bathroom sink did not seal properly and could not hold any water. It made it more difficult to shave-I had to run water all the time instead of having a sink full of water. Charges were different for the days that we stayed. Didn't recall seeing this when I made the reservation.

The beds were very comfortable, the rooms are pretty, the couch was perfect for our 5th family member. The lighting was so nice, the towels were bountiful. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. I loved that I could get coffee at all times. The little store was nice to grab drinks or snacks

Make sure to double check the shampoo and body wash bottles. Ours was empty on arrival and still empty after room service.

The breakfast was amazing! Great coffee! The staff was very friendly and helpful! the room was great! The location in Custer was perfect, and we actually left a day early because of bad weather coming and they refunded us for the day we didnt use, that was incredible! All in all it was a Great overall experience!

To be honest, nothing could have been better, everything was perfect!

This hotel is perfectly located for the sites of the Black Hills. It has a nice pool and outside area. The breakfast buffet allowed my family to eat early and head out to enjoy the day. It was clean and looks very recently renovated. Beds and pillows (both soft and firm provided) were comfortable.

The fan in the bathroom could have worked better and more hanging hooks for towels would be nice.

They let me delay my checkout by an hour, which I really appreciated. The place is quite nice and is comfortable. The coffee in the morning was good - I didn't try the breakfast on this visit.

The bathroom should have a vent fan. Sound travels through the hotel - basically I could hear every screaming child in the morning while I was trying to get an extra few minutes of sleep.

We absolutely loved the entrance and we were able to see the running fountains out the window while eating breakfast. The staff were very polite and willing to help make suggestions about the area.

I was a little disappointed that the edges of the bath towels were frayed. Was surprised that they were still in use at any facility.
