The staff were so nice they took amazing care of us. The room was perfect size, very clean and clean towels were brought in daily for us. The pool and hot tube were spotless, perfect temperature with a great view. The breakfast was hot, great variety and always full. VERY ORGANIZED AND CLEAN! We stayed four nights and spent the same amount on other very poor hotels and our stays were half that. So I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Hill City SD. Thank you for making our vacation that much better.

We got the triple queen suite. My daughter and her husband joined my husband and myself so we appreciated the extra bedroom with a closing door. Great room and nice large bathroom. Comfy beds. Breakfast was meh. The eggs were fine when they were scrambled but yuccy when they were fold-over with American cheese inside. Waffles were good. Only fruit was yellowish greenish oranges. So why the 10 rating? We got what mattered - clean, comfy, friendly service and convenience.

The rooms were clean. The breakfast was good and at a good hour. The staff were also very nice and pleasant.

My only problem was the amount of bleach that was added to the pool. My daughters wanted to go swimming and we couldn’t stay for more than 30 min from how bad my eyes were burning from all the bleach in the water. They need to regulate that

The breakfast choices didn't have a great variety. For example, the menu was only eggs and sausage. No hardboiled eggs offered, no oatmeal or fresh fruit (cut), and was very predictable. Not enough seating. Breakfast could be improved overall with more choices, variety.

We liked the comfortable beds and AC. The hotel was pretty well seperated so there wasn't a ton of noise out in the hallways at night. Everything was clean and the place felt new and modern. Would suggest you to stay here. We'll be back probably!

I don't have much to say about that was bad about this place. The breakfast was very plain, typical continental American breakfast. It wouldn't take much to upgrade that for the cost of the stay. It was a bit busy at times.

Beautiful location in the Black Hills; proximity to downtown Hill City made walking easy; staff was professional and attentive; room and facilities were clean; pool area was nice and well maintained; breakfast offerings were varied and good.

The hot tub would develop a lot of foam that had a grey tinge to it, concentrated in the center of the tub. It was easy to avoid and didn’t stop us from enjoying the tub. Would be great if the hotel would address the source.

Coffee had a good taste. Bed was comfortable. Towels felt softish. Staff was nice

No water pressure in shower. I think shower head limed over. Felt like I needed to run around in circles in the shower to get wet. Also the tub was slippery. Not great. Eggs were not good, sausage cold, no fresh fruit, not a lot of options. However the coffee had a good taste.

Standard "free" breakfast. Room was large, clean and staff resupplied when necessary. Room was clean and comfortable.

One problem --which is a safety issue. The bathroom was clean and roomy. However, the tub/shower did not have safety grip bars INSIDE the tub. And the resin/plastic type tub DID NOT HAVE SLIP A PREVENTIVE BOTTOM. The smooth bottom was quite slippery ---an ancient waiting to happen.

The cleanliness and location were great. Very friendly and helpful staff.

3 queen suites need an extra luggage rack instead of just one. Breakfast could use more variety. Bagels,oatmeal and something other than eggs and sausage every morning.

I would have liked a bit more security around charging snacks to the room. It seemed I could say any room number and there was no way to know I was telling the truth. And the hot tub seemed dirty, when we complained about unsafe behavior from some unsupervised kids, nothing was done. It prevented us from using the pool which we really wanted to do.
