Location, close to everywhere we went

My room’s smoke detector was hanging from the ceiling base, informed staff about it and they said it would be fixed, I only stayed 2 days and it didn’t get fixed, after I said I would be out of the room for a extended period of the day, also the elevators could be a little cleaner, stainless steel doors and walls were dirty and smudgy, overall the common areas were clean , I was a little disappointed on the breakfast main menu, the same thing 2 days in a row!!!!!, I could eat eggs every morning with something else, but the same items back to back?!!!, I don’t get it,

I liked the location and the view, looking down over the city. I also liked how you could see Mount Rushmore at night lit up.

It wasn’t very clean in the public areas like the elevators, the stairways, ice machines, etc. It could use some updating like fresh paint a new carpeting updating the bathrooms and things like that. The rooms are very small too . The helicopter ride got a little bit annoying after the first day flying over the hotel, constantly all day long every hour.

It was close to the boardwalk, but yet far enough way to get away from the action. It was spacious, had a fridge and microwave and coffee maker. The beds were comfortable. The shower worked great. Had a balcony which was nice to use. The ice machines worked great. Had vending machines to purchase items. Great parking location to get into our room. We enjoyed staying here and would do it again.

The positioning of the air conditioner, it would blow on my head at night. Maybe more blankets, better pillows. Also we were there for 6 nights and no asking us if we wanted clean sheets. Had to go ask for our own clean towels, and extra toilet paper. Had no way of calling down to front desk. The fan on the ceiling can't be used because it jiggles almost off the ceiling. Also not to complain but need new blow dryers, or them serviced as it wouldn't work like it should. Curtains need to be put up better, need to be fixed, and the fire alarm was dangling from ceiling.

Liked the location. Room was very nice.

The breakfast LOOKED like it would be good but there was a handwritten sign above the biscuit tray saying they were out of biscuits and after making a waffle in the waffle maker, I found out there was no butter. So, no butter for the waffles or toast or bagels, etc. We went down to breakfast the next morning…. Same sign about the biscuits, still no butter and in addition, the Raisen Bran dispenser was empty. My husband ran a chain of restaurants for 25 years and he said that all they needed to do was either go to the store, buy butter, buy a huge bag of Raisen Bran, buy several cans of biscuits and solve the problem. If that was not allowed, call one of the other hotels and borrow the items you need. Obviously the breakfast people in charge didn’t care!!

My husband and I loved our four night stay here! We adventured all over the area and it was so nice to come back to The Baymont at the end of the day for a fantastic nights sleep. I have bad back issues and I usually dread hotel beds more than anything but your bed were fabulous!! There was so much room and the view from the balcony was unsurpassed!! Will definitely stay again someday!!

There were only a couple minor issues but understandable with typical hotel wear and tear. Like the outer, yes outer, vanity area light was out. Had to wiggle the handle to flush the toilet but that’s it!!

we loved the pool area, breakfast area kept nicely as was very busy, the location was awesome, the fridge in the room worked amazingly, tv reception and channel choices were great

The parking proximity to rooms on that side of the building could've been better, felt there should be more, i didn't like that the alarm clock was broken so it was useless, when turning on the showerhead the water still came out of the bottom tap so the water pressure i'm sure could've been better if that were fixed, beds/mattresses weren't very comfortable, went right through them and we're average sized lol, the hallway floorboards are pretty loud as you walk on them so when people more than walked on them they were super loud, enough to wake you, our towels had stains, people upstairs were really loud and could be heard easily with their walking/bumps

I like the location, It's on the hill. It's not too far from Mount Rushmore Monument. I can view the Mount Rushmore Monument from hotel. Many parking spaces are available for free. Showering is good. Good hot and cold water. I like the two outdoor round tables with fireplace.

Our room #270 doesn't have a chair. Hotel should provide at least a chair to each room. Some towels are not too white. Should replace old towels with new.

Breakfast, room size, everyone was very nice and helpful, all amenities were explained well, and desk was always available when I needed.

Ice machine Out of Order on floor....other than that it's a hotel and you need to deal with noise, slamming doors etc. But that is to be expected. At night all was quiet enough and the fans drown out any traffic noise.

The gentleman who prepared breakfast did a wonderful job, food was replenished quickly and he kept the tables clean. Great employee. All staff was very friendly. Another cool thing is you could see President Washington's face on Mt Rushmore from property. Very clean facility.

Only negative was the size of our room. It was way to small for 2 beds.

Excellent staff - immediate response to requests. Recently renovated throughout.

The room we had (second floor, last one at end of hall overlooking pool) was the smallest hotel room I have had anywhere; and I've traveled the U.S. extensively over a 40-plus year period. Not much larger than a standard cabin on a cruise ship. I'm sure the other rooms in the hotel are not as tight.
