Lovely chap checked us in and made us feel very welcome and gave us all the info we needed for local food and drink. The hotel’s quite ‘retro’, it made a very pleasant change from formulaic modern hotels. There’s a very nice bar next door.

The staff were superb and friendly. Our room was just what we needed. The location is very central and right by the train station (though no noise at all from the trains). Breakfast looked very good - though we had to leave early and eat elsewhere due to other commitments.

The staff where lovely and the situation of the hotel is excellent.

There is a separate toilet with no basin in it. You have to go to the bathroom to wash hands.
