It was great being able to leave our bags before check in time so that we didn't have to carry them around.

Certain areas seemed a little run down/work - and the wallpaper was peeling off one part of our room.

The rooftop the location and near Time Square The restaurants are absolutely amazing and the view was beautiful place.

The hotel did not have microwave that was not convenient at all.i had to ask for refrigerator but I did get one.

Strange entrance, rooftop bar was a huge disappointment, it could be very different. Lifts were ok until at peek times the staff used them as service lifts which made it very difficult due to it being a very hotel

Location was fabulous, so close to time square and subway station. The room was clean and bed was wonderfully comfortable, wifi was brilliant and we had a great view of the city, so for us it was a great stay. The lady at the tours desk was so very helpful

The breakfast, as we didn't have breakfast included, it cost us $26 each for a full breakfast, or $17 for continental. Now according to me (in the many hotels we have stayed in across Europe, UK, Africa, Aus and NZ) a continental breakfast includes, cereal, fresh fruit, pastries, toast, cold meats cheese juice and tea or coffee, but the only thing they had was cereal and cut up fresh fruit. We had to ask for bowls, there were no side plates for toast, we had to ask for milk and sugar for coffee, the hot food was running out and not replaced like hash browns, bacon and pancakes. I did inform the front of house as well as guest services who were wonderful about re-embursing me for the full breakfasts we purchased. Thank you

We had a nice stay at the Doubletree. The location is perfect, very close to Times Square which is really easy to get around walking. Many restaurants and shops nearby. Our room was cleaned everyday, it was on the 16th floor and we didn't hear any noises from outside nor from the neighbouring rooms. Read many comments about the long wait for the elevators but honestly it didn't feel that bad at all, never had to wait more than 5 minutes and only during the "rush hours". Overall we recommend to stay at this hotel :-)

Only a few minor things like the shower curtain being too short so the water came out on the floor when we showered. Also would have been nice to have a mini fridge a bit more storage (closet is a bit small).

The hotel has the best location. The functionality of everything in the hotel is superb. The rooms are small but neat and the windows can be opened, hence the room can be aired. We had a wonderful stay.

The restaurant had a very limited menu and the food tasted average.

Location

Not too fancy and minimal amenities in the rooms. Elevator issues. They are slow and not enough for the size of the hotel. Waiting 10-20 min and then packed. Stopping at each floor long elevator ride. One night we basically had to climb 27 flights or wait 30-45 min for an elevator. One was being used for staff / house cleaning and one for the roof top. Two working elevators Also the shower sprays on the floor since the shower curtain is 6 inches to short. 4 bath mats help with that.

First night sleep with a little fan because air conditioning doesn’t work and rooms was sold out and can’t change room until the next day.

Me and my fiancé was on honeymoon and we stayed for 9 days. I did send a an inquiry for confirmation mail directly from the hotel instead of only the report by the app itself just in case if the customs officers could have ask for it because it was my first trip to The U.S. They were so kind and replied as soon as possible. Then we arrived and there was the sweetest reception personnel we have ever met also they proposed us small bags of cookies and we can never forget Ms. Melanie she was always so kind to us. Check-in was so fast we were in shock and they were already arranging us a bed with rose petals and ornaments for my fiancé. Our booking should had been a standard one but we had a gorgeous, bold view at 28th floor. We would like to thank to the ladies especially to Ms.Melanie for the care she had shared with us. Regardless of the deep search of ours before the decision on DoubleTree, we always read about the other hotels’ rooms which were so small, non-working air conditioners, late arriving elevators, noises, dirty sheets, bad scents etc. but beware our room/hotel is extraordinarily none of the above. Even though we shopped and filled our 4 luggages we never felt out of space within. Even though the weather outside was always between -5 and -15 degrees Celsius we did not have problem with warmth of the room. The hotel is at the heart of everything, facility is secure. Of course you may see homeless people around the streets just like you may see in any other cities and countries but we never had issues since we always tried to be careful. If you are willing to visit top Outlet Centers like “Woodbury, Niagara Falls” for extra discounted quality items the direct bus line to and from there leaves right across the hotel “Port Authority Bus Terminal / PABT”. The metro/train is at 5mins of walk. You can also go to The Madison Square Garden by 15mins of walk.

Air conditioner was too loud, this has to be taken care of.
