Me and my buddy were touring the Kawartha's on our motorcycles and motels were scarce but this one had rooms available. When you first see the motel you can tell this is an old type motel. The outside looked well taken care of. What a pleasant surprise when you enter the room. It looks new fresh paint, hard floors and a new bathroom. The owners are super people. My wife and I will be touring the Kawartha's when the leaves start to change colors and I hope there will be a room at this motel available. Great place and great value you won't be dissatisfied.

Super clean! All renovated and very nicely done! The bathroom is super updated with very modern amenities. The shower was really nice! There is a little sitting area with a table. The television was great with a lot of channel choices. The host even gave us a complimentary basket of breakfast goods including bananas, granola bars and juice boxes! The hosts were amazingly helpful and friendly! The air conditioning/heating is all new and works perfectly. There is a back door that opens up to a covered deck area with an terrific view. Very quiet but a great place for kids to run around and easy for dogs to get out. A hidden gem!

I "never" wanted to book a motel, but this place was newly renovated and reviews were just what I liked to read, positive! Price was excellent so we booked. After booking we realised how perfect the location was which was a bonus. We read, no breakfast and was fine with that but upon checking in we were greeted with a friendly owner and he gave us fruit, granola bars and juice boxes. Now that was something so nice, it's the little things like that that make things so wonderful. Thank you. Check out was easy too, friendly service again. Thank you!! Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice place - very friendly and welcoming. May is an incredibly nice woman. She provided us with helpful info about surrounding area. There was a little basket with some fruit and granola bars, mini fridge, good size tv and kitchenette. Hotel has a very big backyard where our kids player soccer. All in all, it was a great stay for the price. Would definitely stay again!

We didn't have breakfast but we were so impressed with the room and the staff. The room was immaculate, the patio was very welcome as we had a dog with us. Everyone was so friendly. Grounds really nice. Looking forward to next year.

Sorry, I couldn't find anything not to like. Everything was supplied so there are no complaints.

There was a little basket with some fruit and granola bars, bottles of water, tons of towels, face cloths, mini fridge, good size tv, place was quiet, very clean and staff was very nice. All in all, it was a great stay for the price. Would definitely stay again!

Friendly and helpful staff. Location was perfect, right across the road from Balsam lake, so almost in heart of Kawarthas. Room was clean and well maintained.

Well, I couldn’t get any sports on tv so couldn’t watch the Blue Jays game, and the bed and pillows could have been more comfortable.

The room was renovated and had a nice smell, the bed was comfortable, and 2 extra pillows smelled nice too. The bathroom is updated nicely, and clean. We got a nice thoughtful welcome gift from the owner.

Everything was great. They could not do better.

The best thing about the motel was May Lin, the co-owner. She is a very cheerful, kind, competent woman, helpful in every way. The room was spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. By the way, the bonus question above didn't allow me to explain that the friends who would have been in the second room could not come and the second room was cancelled weeks ago.

It’s super clean and I’m really fussy. I loved that there was a big property behind the unit so I could give my dog a good walk. It’s on the highway so sone highway traffic noise, but overall, I loved it for the money spent.
