We've had a lovely stay at The Coastguard house in Ballydavid. They accomodated us despite us running late for more than an hour for our check-in and made us feel welcome. The room called The Three Sisters was simply brilliant with a breathtaking view of the entire peninsula. The nights were extremely quiet so we could enjoy the sound of waves as they crashed against the shore. The room also features a queen-sized bed, perfect for getting rest after a day out boating and hiking. The bathroom is spacious enough and has a large shower cabin. There is also a closet, table, a chair and a kettle, along with complimentary tea, milk, coffee and mugs.
The mattress protector and bedsheet were too small for the mattress size (the bed is really quite large which I loved), so they kept moving as we turned in the bed. It would've also been lovely to have another chair as there was two of us and perhaps a larger table where we could sit and enjoy the view without going outside or sitting on the bed. A fullbody mirror would've been handy as well.

We spent two nights at The Coastguard House and had a great time. It was at early april, and thus no breakfast option yet available, but anything else was fine and it was a hassle-free stay at a wonderful place. Fiona was there at our arrival and she was very nice and welcoming. The rooms are clean and spatious. The small village is a rugged place, beautiful and wild, and the place fits perfectly. We slept well and came and went as we liked. Parking wasn't an issue either, there were spots directly at the house or close by. The view is incredible, and the beach is extremely scenic. So, for a Dingle experience with a bit of "remote" feeling (though you are inside the small village, not alone), that is perfect. As a bonus, and we cannot thank Fiona enough for that (!!!!), we did forget a jacket at the appartement upon early departure and Fiona sent it to us later on. That was extremely kind, and beyond the overall kindness we did experience anywhere in Ireland (being such a wonderful place). If we'll return we sill certainly check againt the Coastguard House as a starting point for Dingle. It was 10-15 min driving to Dingle, really not more, and eating out in Dingle was no issue, while profiting from that true west coast rugged gem directly at the beach.

We loved the room with the double aspect, the views and spotting seals right near the beach and dolphin that followe an incoming fishing boat. Lovely walks an beautiful sunsets. We stayed here for 5 nights and loved it. And the local beer!
At arrival we were told there was no chef and no meals were served for dinner. That was most disappointing because one of the main reasons for bookingTighT.P. was the restaurant. Now we had to go out by car across to Ballyferriter or otherwise the even longer drive to Dingle town. The last night of our stay we were able to have dinner, thanks to a stand-in chef.

Fiona was super nice before and during our stay. The location is just amazing, when the weather is nice you can just enjoy a dip in the ocean, walk on the next bigger beach 4min by foot or enjoy the food and drinks from the bar. The Dinglewellnesscenter which is also just in the building offers wonderful seaweedbaths and massages. The pub has livemusic during the weekends and even though you might hear some noise from the bar in the room it is absolutely what one would expect staying above a pub - and we got some great sleep anyways. The sound of the waves at night is a great plus too.

We loved our stay. The location is right at the beach and our view was wonderful, but we weren’t in the room much. The bar/restaurant downstairs has the same view and great people. David and Hugh are delightful. Very good food as well. We ended up being a few minutes late to check in, but Fiona was accommodating and helpful. Our drive into Dingle was only 15-20 min.
We liked everything, but couldn’t find the entrance. The entrance to the rooms is behind the wellness spa. Park along the beach wall in the little areas that are a perfect fit for 2 smallish cars and walk behind the spa. Door is on the right :) this may be in the listing, but I missed it.

This small lodge attached to a pub sits right on the seaside, with walking paths out the front door. It's a very beautiful spot.
We weren't especially well looked after, as you check in at the bar and are pretty much on your own after that. Breakfast wasn't available, with no notice. Noise and disturbance in the night, strangely by the proprietor, moving vehicles and people (!?) Room should have a fan because it was warm.

From the moment we arrived, we found everybody to be warm and welcoming. The room was comfortable and warm and the view and the sound of the sea just outside the window were what we wanted and expected. Sean and Fiona were great hosts and answered any questions we had about local bus times restaurants et cetera. Ronan the barman was great company and a pleasure to meet. Mary, the housekeeper, couldn’t do enough (and a great singer too!).

The setting was unbelievable, great for families due to the beach right on the bay, and the pub on site. The shared kitchen was also a huge plus for us, as we saved a bunch of money not having to dine out for every meal, and we could always prepare the food we needed for our child with severe food allergies. Overall, it was a wonderful homebase for enjoying the beautiful Dingle Peninsula.
The posting said there was also a restaurant on site, which would have been fantastic for us. However, it either wasn't in operation anymore, or it was closed for the low season. I never figured out which because I was too busy living the dream.

The waterfront location was perfectly lovely with amazing views and beach access. The proprietors are the most lovely people and all the staff were friendly and accommodating. We greatly enjoyed breakfast each morning and the dinner selections. Christine was very helpful in supplying fresh towels and keeping everything tidy. The adjacent pub (with the same proprietors) was an ideal example of local Irish life and we enjoyed getting to know the other patrons during our visit.
The only thing that could have been better would be more dining options which we understand had been reduced during the covid period. The village is quite small and there is only one other pub that is only open in the evening and there is no lunch option available. This is in no way to diminish the lovely experience we had, just information so that visitors are aware of the options available. We picked up snacks at the grocery in Dingle to have them in our room between the available meal times.

Loved everything as always but especially the view from my room above the spa which Fiona had recommended to me when I stayed in May. Her suggestion to my friends and I to go to the Great Basket Island Museum was a great idea and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. As always, Rea cooked us all a fine and hearty breakfast and the craic was mighty, Brendan and Sean at the bar were the best and the wait staff and chefs were wonderful to all of us!
