Waking up to the spectacular views from our balcony made all the problems of the world seem insignificant, at least for awhile. Very comfortable bed. Immaculately clean. The staff was lovely. The breakfast was delicious.

If you have mobility issues, the narrow circular staircase could be a problem, as might the uphill walk from the city center. The water pressure wasn’t the best, but I’m trying to be eco-friendly and go with it. No coffee making facilities in the room, but I travel with my own single-cup maker so I used the microwave to heat the water and all was good.

This hotel is very centrally located, although taxis have to navigate a narrow street to get to it. Then you have to walk the next 50 metres on a steep walkway to get to the hotel itself. Once there, you have have a beautiful view of the city. It's easy to get to the tourist center by foot, although the streets are often quite narrow and steep. It's a special experience. You'll enjoy a great view of the city from the breakfast patio.

Our room didn't have any view at all from the windows. Ask for a room with a view, if you can.

The staff from check in through check out was really friendly and helpful. We had a very nice Junior Suite with a lovely balcony and a kitchen as well as a large bedroom. Spectacular view of the city and just minutes from the center of town. Walking distance from everything we wanted to do. Safe area. Breakfast starts with a full plate of fruit. Clean and modern rooms with plenty of storage space.

The hotel was not easy to find for our cab driver from the airport. Make sure you have the hotel phone number so your driver can call and get directions if there is a problem. Cabs in Guanajuato will know. The hotel is about 4 minutes up the hill behind the Hidalgo Mercado. I didn’t mind the walk (and I’m in my 70’s) but some people might. And it’s totally easy to know where it is after you’ve been there. The view and quietness was so nice. I would stay here again gladly.

Beautiful little hotel, we stayed at the Chalet wing in room 504. It's a large room w/a large bathroom. Loved that it was downtown by "El Callejon del Beso"; within walking distance to various plazas, restraunts, and attractions. They include breakfast* they offered eggs (any style), beans, chilaquiles, and fruit. Coffee, milk, juice or water to drink.

Did not appreciate the location, it's on a steep hill and somewhat hidden. Thank God our Taxi driver knew the area, otherwise we would have never found it. We had to go down to register and back up to our rooms, only to be met by a narrow staircase. There is no elevator. *=Breakfast: the coffee tasted burnt, cold beans and the chilaquiles had an off taste (we had the green salsa).

Perfect location to explore the town. Good Breakie. - Just be aware: you cannot park at the hotel as the streets are too narrow. Don't even think of driving there! The parking is far out at the sister hotel. However, they provide a great shuttle service.

it's a quaint location with a great view over the city. the staff was lovely smiley and helpful and I felt at home right away

the breakfast was good but very spicy chilaquiles or pancakes no other options. as a foreign visitor some eggs or cereal is usually expected. my room had only a very strong ceiling light or complete darkness lol it was probably the cheapest they have tho so alright

The parking is far from the hotel at their sister hotel. At the time we arrived there was no shuttle, but they called a taxi for us. The parking should be explained in the website as you need to drive to a different address.

Beautiful old building, well maintained. Great location. Close to all but off any main road so quiet. An easy, uphill hike. Views from room and breakfast balcony. Staff helpful and friendly. Plenty to eat for breakfast. Highly recommend this accomodation.

Ceiling in room very low. Doorway to bathroom and balcony, even I had to duck down at my height, 5'3". We got used to this, and it didn't spoil our stay.

Location was excellent. But if you have walking issues it may not be for you.

Finding the place was very hard in the dark. I didn’t enjoy the breakfast. I was sick 2 mornings in a row after eating so I stopped and bought my breakfast out.

We got what we payed for and it was all very clean, the staff was super nice and helpful. We forgot some toiletries and they sent them to us immediately, were very helpful and resolved the issue in a fast manner.

We thought they had space for parking and they did but it was away from the hotel and we had boxes we needed to carry so that was a bit uncomfortable but they helped us find a solution.
