This is truly a heritage hotel. The building is old and give the vibe of the olden times in Darjeeling. What stood out was the behaviour of the staff. we went to this hotel with my aged mother and stayed in the Kanchenjanga suite as there were steps which had to be climbed the staff made it extremely congenial for my mother to do so. The room service was exceptinal so was the breakfast buffet. Whatever and whenever we asked the staff delivered it promptly and gladly. so hopefully will come again to enjoy this hospitality.

The water in the taps were a problem as the flow was not too high. But I think that is the problem for Darjeeling itself.

View of mountains. Otherwise clean and hygienic property. Good spacious rooms

Little congested as in property is not spread over a very large area. Little things to do in the property. Food was very good but menu was having only few items. No gym in the property and even children playing area is very boring and small. Good for staying if you want to spend entire day outside in roaming around Darjeeling. But if you are looking to spend time inside hotel you then besides SPA nothing much. No swimming pool. After all its not a five star property still I would highly recommend as it is offering impressive value.

Property at very good location. We selected mountain view and it was a magnificent view. Hotel staffs are good. Behinda, Preetika and one more manager was really helpful. Also, last night singer Anmol made the evening more beautiful. He sings really well and we loved it.

Only pros was the bathroom was stinky for some reason probably drainage problem but we didn’t raise it as we just had a night stay there. Overall it was a good stay in a beautiful property with a beautiful view.

The location was amazing. Though we were visiting during a time when it was raining and completely covered with fog...still we found the location and view from the hotel room amazing. We took a family cottage Kanchanjunga. The room was huge, spacious, clean and had all the facilities. The decor of the room and infrastructure of the hotel actually took us back to the British era. They had a beautiful swing for children and a separate play room with many indoor games like chess, carrom and table tennis board. The behaviour of the hotel staff, be it the house keeping or the ones at the dining area were highly commendable and appreciable. They promptly responded to any issues we had and made it a point to make us feel comfortable as fast as possible. We really enjoyed our stay.

We had some issues with the bathroom water supply. Thankfully the issues were taken care of by the hotel house keeping staff promptly.

The location is superb. The breakfast was also too good. The scene from the room is spectacular. Also easy access to the Himalayan Railway was the high point.

Guests should be informed about the tourist spots and how to get there through pamphlets. Insufficient light in the bathroom for shaving and other purposes.Also the view from the terrace is outstanding which was not informed to us

Views of Kanchenjunga from the heritage terrace garden was magnificent. The view room was equally great. Morning breakfast was excellent. The Spa was excellent.

In the deluxe view room, the water flow from the washbasin tap in the bathroom was real slow. It had to be fixed twice during our 2 nights stay. The staff was very quick to react but ideally room number 406 bathroom needs a quality check before being let out.

The location was close to market, so it was easy to get taxi. View from the room was breathtaking as we got the full view of Mt Kanchanjunga. staff behaviour and attitude was excellent, any issues were addressed immediately. Buffet breakfast was very good

Bed was too small to accommodate 2 parents and 1 kid. However, staff were very polite and gave us extra mattress. Bathroom was a bit smelly, although it was clean, probably because it's old property. Bathroom tap took very long time to give hot water.

Amazing views of the mountains and clear view of the majestic Kanchenjunga from the terrace. Rooms are good, the AC works perfectly and so does the hot water. Suggest you to take the upper floors, 3-4th floor for easier access to the terrace early at sunrise to catch the majestic Kanchenjunga range. Also the see through elevators and the views from the elevators are amazing.

The route to the hotel from the Mall. Was under construction (waterlines were being laid by the government) resulting in no parking of the vehicles. But otherwise all perfect and amazing.

The Room was very clean and filled with required amenities. Food was good and service was excellent. Please take the room with Mountain view as it will serve justice to the money spent. They even have Airport Pick up and Drop facility.

Nothing in specific. Everything was quite perfect. Per my experience, the room hetaer was good but could have been better.

The view of Darjeeling from the property (specially Kanchenjunga, although we were not so lucky), its heritage looks, quality and quantity of food, room service, very nice and supporting attitude and behaviour of all the hotel staff, room facilities provided as promised, 24 hr room heater and hot water service.

Heritage Room should have been carpeted, considering the cold and chilling weather of Darjeeling and would have been more comfortable leading to less use of room heater. Bathroom should be fitted with exhaust and provision for small tea cum dining table in the room. Way to the reception need to be shaded in some way so as to avoid rain while moving from the heritage block to the way out of the hotel/reception. Distance of the hotel from the clock tower then to the mall is almost 15 to 20 min walk, specially the uphill movement to the hotel is almost a 10 to 15 min walk from the clock tower, and will be exhaustive for children and elderly persons.
