A great stay, with a nice swimming pool, a good breakfast and AC, in a calm and relax environment. The woman at the reception (we forgot to ask her name) was amazing and very helpful, she helped us to book the transfer to the pier, we arrange the laundry for our clothes and suggested us a nightmarket nearby. Unfortunately, we only found out at the end of the stay that there were free bikes.

Our room smells a little bit bad and there were only two plugs.

A warm welcome awaits at this peaceful resort, just a 20-minute walk from the train station. The spacious, spotless rooms are cleaned daily and fully equipped. The bathroom has the strongest shower I’ve experienced in Thailand! I had the shaded pool to myself each afternoon. There was a small issue with insects on the balcony, but it was quickly and effectively resolved. I extended my stay — highly recommended for a relaxing escape.

The pool was very big and clean, the area around it was decorated with lights which created an awsome vibe for a evening swimm. The nightmarket was very close and we realy enjoyed the food there! We realy enjoyed the athentic thai breakfast soups in the hotel aswell!

The area in which the hotel is located seems rural and not very welcoming even tho the nightmarket close by and the nice pool made up for it.

Review of Chalicha Resort in Chumphon: My wife and I recently stayed at Chalicha Resort in Chumphon for one night as a stopover during our trip. We were pleasantly surprised by the value for money we received during our stay. The cost of bed and breakfast was just over £16, which we found to be quite reasonable. The staff at Chalicha Resort were friendly and accommodating. They greeted us warmly upon arrival and provided us with all the necessary information about the resort and its amenities. We felt welcomed and well taken care of throughout our stay. One highlight of our experience was the restaurant linked to the hotel. The food served there was absolutely delicious, and the portions were quite generous. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and were impressed by the quality of the dishes. It was convenient to have such a great dining option right on the premises. The rooms at Chalicha Resort were spacious and well-appointed. We appreciated the size of the rooms, as it provided us with plenty of space to relax and unwind. The air conditioning in the rooms worked well, ensuring a comfortable temperature throughout our stay. However, we did find the beds to be quite hard, which was a minor downside for us. In terms of location, Chalicha Resort was conveniently situated. It was only a 10-minute walk to the main center, which made it easy for us to explore the surrounding area. We appreciated the proximity to local attractions and amenities, as it allowed us to make the most of our time in Chumphon. Overall, our experience at Chalicha Resort was positive. The friendly staff, delicious food at the restaurant, spacious rooms, and convenient location made it a great choice for a stopover. Despite the slightly uncomfortable bed, we felt that we received excellent value for the price we paid. We would consider staying at Chalicha Resort again in the future.

The bed was quite hard for our liking

The location is good. Away from the centre and in an very quiet area. It takes a small boring hike to get there from the trainstation, but i would recommend to take a taxi. (100Thb is the going rate). Its 800m located from a 7/11 mini markt. The 24/7 reception is great with friendly staff. The food in their restaurant is good. Try out their Pad Thai 👍🏻 The room had all what it need. Clean sheets and enough towels. The room was spacious and clean. The airco worked fine. (no, you dont have to put it on 18°c. - That's not the idea).

I have been here 6 years ago and you can slowly notice that the rooms need a small touch up.

Peaceful location on the edge of town, about 1k from the station, walkable but boring walk! Friendly staff, hugest room ever that was comfortable and had kettle and fridge, the restaurant meal we had was excellent. Nice pool very welcome. Chumphon isn't really a tourist town other than a transport hub so it's nice to be somewhere that feels easy. 2 nights was great and recommend for easy stop over. Note for anyone going to the museum - organise your taxi in advance - we managed the walk there in spite of heat with a couple of dim sum stops but walking back was tough with no taxis of any variety!

No safe and like most Thai hotels so far, no drawers for small items of clothing! Maybe it's just me!!?

Good place to stay if you are over-nighting and waiting for the train going either North or South. Town is walkable in 10-15 mins to get supplies but the onsite restaurant and cafe has good selection of food so no need to venture out as Chumphon doesn't have much to offer. Rooms were on the basic side, but clean and tidy. Kettle provided, but no coffee or tea to go with it...strange. The pool is small but perfectly formed and welcome to cool off in. Extremely reasonable rates.

The bathrooms in both rooms we booked had a whiff of sewage about them.

The pool area is ace, there is options to eat at the hotel and really spacious rooms with super cold AC, the cleanest room yet for sure and staff were really friendly.

The location was a bit strange with a lot of stray dogs in the area which are quite territorial and can be a bit scary. There was construction on the road starting from very early on the last two mornings which was a bit of an annoyance. If you’re sensitive to noise I would further recommend asking for a room with a balcony not a ground floor level as the door allowed a lot of noise passage of the many family’s arriving and leaving through out the night who often unpacked their cars right outside our rooms (might be good for reception to speak to guests arriving/ leaving late about keeping the noise down to avoid other guests being inconvenienced)

The room was very spacious and quite comfortable. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was good. There was a reasonable sized swimming pool (I didn't use it). The shower was spacious and the water hot.

Check in took too long. Car parking was a significant distance from the room. Finding the resort, even with google mapping was not easy.

Large room with balcony overlooking pool , towels and toiletries provided . AC and Wifi good . TV, large fridge and kettle . Large bathroom. Buffet breakfast included , with good choice .Resturant onsite . 20 min walk into town , local shop at end of street ,market on the weekend in next street. Staff friendly.Rooms cleaned everyday.
